Il padre generale, Fernando García Rodríguez, parteciperà alla 99ª Assemblea dell'USG, che si svolgerà dal 24 al 26 maggio 2023 a Roma. Il tema centrale sarà Ravvivare il carisma di Dio che è in te! (2Tim 1,6). Dio ci ha affidato il carisma della vita consacrata al servizio della Chiesa e del mondo, e in questo momento storico di crisi globale ci invita a ravvivare dentro di noi questo dono.

La prima giornata dell'Assemblea sarà dedicata all'approfondimento di questo tema centrale. Nella mattinata del secondo giorno ci sarà la presenza dei due sottosegretari del Dicastero per la Vita Consacrata. Il pomeriggio di quella stessa giornata sarà dedicato all'incontro per gruppi di "categorie" (canonici regolari, monaci, ordini mendicanti, chierici regolari, congregazioni clericali, istituti di fratelli, società di vita apostolica). Il terzo giorno sarà il momento per eleggere i delegati dell'USG al Sinodo sulla Sinodalità, oltre che per altre questioni dell’Unione.

Father General, Fernando García Rodríguez, will take part in the 99^th Assembly of USG, which will be held in Rome on May 24^th-26^th, 2023. Central theme of the event will be: Rekindle the Gift of God that is within You! (2Tim 1:6). God has entrusted us with the charism of consecrated life at the service of the Church and the world; in this historical moment of global crisis, He invites us to rekindle this gift within ourselves.

The first day of the Assembly will be dedicated to deepening this central theme. On the morning of the second day the two undersecretaries of the Dicastery for Consecrated Life will attend the assembly. The afternoon of that same day will be dedicated to groups’ meetings according to “categories” (canon regular, monks, mendicant orders, regular clerics, clerical congregations, institutes of brothers, societies of apostolic life). The third day will be the time for electing the USG delegates to the Synod on Synodality, as well as for dealing with other issues of the Union.
