Il nostro confratello Marcello Storgato sx scrive dal Bangladesh: “…e per non dimenticare, abbiamo voluto costruire qui in Bangladesh un Memoriale, una specie di Icona, che interpretasse in qualche modo percezioni e sentimenti da noi provati. Per comporre l’Icona della Pandemia sono stati utilizzati attrezzi e pezzi del bazar dell’usato a Khulna. Nell’insieme, appaiono le difficoltà maggiori dei colpiti dal Virus Nemico. Tutto converge verso l’alto, su quel grande Volto addolorato e pietoso, coronato e caricato delle sofferenze umane: Cristo Gesù. Il Memoriale è stato eretto sulla via che nel parco illuminato porta al Presepio, presso un albero di Kea, le cui radici scendono dall’alto per toccare e penetrare la terra, e così sostenere la pesante chioma. Troverà il suo posto definitivo nel mezzo del Cimitero Saveriano ad ovest della Domus di Boyra…”

From Bangladesh, our confrere Marcello Storgato s.x. writes: “… in order not to forget, we wanted to build here in Bangladesh a Memorial, a sort of Icon, to interpret our perceptions and sentiments. To compose this Icon of the Pandemic, we employed tools and spare items from the flea market of Khulna. The icon as a whole depicts the main difficulties experienced by people hit by the enemy virus. Everything converges to the top, towards that big Face of Jesus Christ, the grieving and compassionate one who is crowned with thorns and bears human suffering. The Memorial has been placed near a Kea tree on the path that through the illuminated park leads to the Nativity Scene; the roots of the Kea tree descend from the branches, touch and penetrate the ground and in this way support the crown of the tree. The final place of the Memorial will be in the Xaverian Graveyard on the west side of the Domus in Boyra…”
