La DG ha incontrato a Roma il Superiore Regionale dell’Indonesia, P. Antonius Wahyudiyanto (13 luglio) e il Superiore Delegato delle Filippine, P. Javier Mexicano Ferrer (17 luglio).
Dal 21 luglio all’8 agosto sarà a Tavernerio per incontrare gli altri Superiori e per la COSUMA.
BURUNDI
Oggi, 18 luglio, vengono ordinati presbiteri, nelle rispettive diocesi e con i candidati diocesani, i saveriani Lèonidas Nayuburundi (diocesi di Gitega) e Epitace Nkinzingabo (diocesi di Muyinga).
Accogliamo questi doni con immensa gioia nell’anno in cui ricordiamo il ventesimo anniversario della tragica morte, –Buyengero 30 settembre 1995– dei martiri Aldo Marchiol e Ottorino Maule.
SIERRA LEONE
“... Per l’ebola le cose non vanno ancora bene, giorni fa ci sono stati 7 casi, di cui 5 a Freetown. Oggi abbiamo letto di 2 ammalati, altamente contagiosi, scappati dal centro di cura, e poi rintracciati proprio a Freetown. Sembra una saga senza fine. Non c’è tensione ed angoscia come all’inizio, ma un po’ di inquietudine, non riuscendo ad arrivare a zero casi. Lo stato d’emergenza continua con i suoi fastidiosi posti di blocco sulle strade, e ci si chiede fino a quando questa epidemia andrà avanti” (P. Carlo Di Sopra).

Charre (Diocesi di Tete), 12.7: il Vescovo Mons Inácio Saure ha insediato il nuovo parroco P. Justin Muchapa e ha conferito il sacramento della confermazione a più di 300 battezzati di Charre e Inhangoma.
REPUBBLICA DEMOCRATICA
Con lettera del 29.6.15 Mgr Maroy, Arcivescovo di Bukavu, ha messo in moto la «procedura per la causa di beatificazione di S. E. Mons Christophe Munzihirwa», ucciso a Bukavu il 29 ottobre 1996.

These ordinations are a blessing bestowed upon us twenty years after the tragic death of our martyrs, Aldo Marchiol and Ottorino Maule, in Buyengero, on 30 September 1995.
SIERRA LEONE
Fr. Di Sopra writes: “... the Ebola virus is still active: a few days ago there were 7 new cases, 5 of them in Freetown. Today we heard that 2 highly contagious patients escaped from a clinic before being found again at Freetown. Although the tension and anguish are not so bad as at the beginning, there is still great concern because the virus has not yet been eliminated. The state of emergency is ongoing, the road blocks are still in place and we all wonder just how long this epidemic will last”.

Charre (Diocese of Tete), 12 Jul: Bishop Inácio Saure installed the new parish priest, Fr. Justin Muchapa, and conferred the sacrament of Confirmation on more than 300 people of Charre and Inhangoma.

With a letter dated 29 June 2015, Archbishop Maroy of Bukavu set in motion the «procedure for the Cause of beatification of Archbishop Christophe Munzihirwa», who was killed in Bukavu on 29 October 1996.
