Sii tu a vivere in me.
50 anni sono come un giorno, bellissimo però. Ricominciamo adesso. Stiamo nuotando nell’Oceano Pacifico. (Fabrizio Tosolini sx)

50th ANNIVERSARY OF RELIGIOUS PROFESSION AD GENTES: “Now that I'm finally beginning to understand something, it's already time to die”.
It seems that Theophrastus (Aristotle's disciple and heir, scholarch of the Peripatetic School) lamented, saying: “Now that I'm finally beginning to understand something, it's already time to die”.
It seems to me that there is some truth to this phrase: we only understand the meaning of things better after a long time.
The same seems to me to apply to our religious vows, taken 50 years ago and still new, yet to be discovered...
I understand that everything boils down to the vow of poverty. I don't want anything: no wife, no children, no image of myself, no ideas or plans, nothing...
He has made us rich in his poverty: in the act of losing himself. This act becomes our wealth because we too can try to live it, from Him, in Him, and together with Him.
But we don't want any wealth! Not even this... here thinking ends...
But here the Lord awaits us to be himself the teacher of the truth of what Paul said.
And then the mission vow: I vow to give myself completely so that someone may discover and love Jesus, being born in Him. I am attracted by this very special spiritual beauty: the opening of souls to Jesus, their blossoming in Him.
But again, again, without seeking any riches!
Be You the one who lives in me.
50 years is like a day, but a beautiful one. We start again now. We are swimming in the Pacific Ocean.
I don't know whether it is to reach any shore or because we like swimming and the Pacific seems to us wide enough. (Fabrizio Tosolini sx)
