Oggi 12 marzo 2018, intorno alle ore 15.00, si è spento serenamente in Casa Madre, a Parma, il P. Augusto Luca.

Il 21 aprile avrebbe compiuto 101 anni, essendo nato il 21.04.1917 a Mure di Molvena (VI).

Entrato nell'Istituto a Vicenza il 3 ottobre 1929, ed in noviziato a S. Pietro in Vincoli nell’agosto del 1934, fece la Prima Professione a S. Pietro in Vincoli il 12 settembre 1935.

Venne ordinato Presbitero a Vicenza il 28 marzo 1943.

Dopo l’Ordinazione svolse vari servizi in Italia, prima a Parma come Vice Rettore in Casa Madre, poi a Grumone come insegnante e ancora a Parma come Direttore dell’Ufficio stampe.

Dal 1951 al 1966 svolse la sua missione in Giappone, ricoprendo vari incarichi, tra i quali quello di Superiore Regionale dal 1963 al 1966.

Eletto Consigliere Generale nel 1966 svolse il ruolo di Prefetto delle Missioni fino al 1971.

Negli anni seguenti, rimanendo in Italia svolse vari servizi sia per la regione Italiana che per la Delegazione Centrale, mantenendo sempre viva la sua passione per le ricerche storiche con la pubblicazione di vari libri.

Annuncio della morte di P. Augusto Luca

Today, 12 March 2018, Fr. Augusto Luca died peacefully in the Mother House.

Born in Mure di Molvena (Vicenza), on 21 April 1917, he was almost 101 years old.

He joined the Institute in Vicenza on 3 October 1929 and novitiate in S. Pietro in Vincoli in August 1934. He made his First Profession in S. Pietro in Vincoli on 12 September 1935.

He was ordained priest in Vicenza on 28 March 1943.

After his ordination he carried out various tasks in Italy, first in Parma as Vice-Rector of the Mother House, then in Grumone as a teacher and once again in Parma as Director of the Publications Office.

From 1951 until 1966 he worked in the mission of Japan, fulfilling various tasks, among them the service of Regional Superior from 1963 until 1966.

He was elected to the General Council in 1966 and was Prefect of the Missions until 1971.

Thereafter he remained in Italy, where he served both the Italian Region and the Central Delegation, always cultivating his enthusiasm for historical research with the publication of various books.
