“La Chiesa diverrà piccola e dovrà ripartire più o meno dagli inizi. Non sarà più in grado di abitare gli edifici che ha costruito in tempi di prosperità. Con il diminuire dei suoi fedeli, perderà anche gran parte dei privilegi sociali... In quanto piccola società, avanzerà richieste superiori alle iniziative dei suoi membri … Sarà una Chiesa che ha imboccato la strada della povertà, e sarà in particolare la Chiesa dei piccoli e dei deboli…
