Mercoledì 30 ottobre, a conclusione dell’Ottobre Missionario, la rivista “Missione Oggi”, dei Missionari Saveriani, ricorda i primi saveriani martiri in Congo RD, beatificati nella cattedrale di Uvira il 18 agosto scorso, mettendo in scena lo spettacolo “Perché siamo rimasti… Vittorio, Luigi, Giovanni e Albert Joubert”, liberamente ispirato al libro di Lisa Zaccherini, Benedetti ragazzi. Vita e pensieri dei beati Carrara, Faccin, Didonè e Joubert, martiri in Congo (2024). L’evento è prodotto dal “Teatro dell’anima”, una delle iniziative cultuali della rivista. Lo spettacolo va in scena presso il complesso San Cristo, in via Piamarta 9, alle ore 20:30, nella chiesa. La regia e la drammaturgia sono di Giuseppe Marchetti, con Anna Danesi come assistente alla regia. Gli attori sono Luciano Bertoli, Andrea Manni e Alessandro Zanetti, che interpretano rispettivamente Fratel Vittorio Faccin, padre Giovanni Didonè e padre Luigi Carrara. On Wednesday, October 30, at the conclusion of October Mission Month, the magazine “Missione Oggi”, published by the Xaverian Missionaries, remembered the first Xaverian martyrs in the Democratic Republic of Congo, beatified in the Cathedral of Uvira on August 18, by staging the play “Why We Stayed... Vittorio, Luigi, Giovanni and Albert Joubert.” The play is loosely based on the book by Lisa Zaccherini, Blessed Youth. Life and Thoughts of the Blessed Carrara, Faccin, Didonè and Joubert, Martyrs in Congo (2024). The play is produced by the “Teatro dell’anima”, one of the cultural initiatives of the magazine. The play was presented in the church of San Cristo, at 9 Piamarta Street., at 8:30 p.m. The direction and dramaturgy are by Giuseppe Marchetti, with Anna Danesi as assistant director. The actors are Luciano Bertoli, Andrea Manni, and Alessandro Zanetti, who respectively portray Brother Vittorio Faccin, Father Giovanni Didonè, and Father Luigi Carrara.
