L'inizio del Noviziato è avvenuto il giorno della festa dell'Apostolo Tommaso, mercoledì 3 luglio 2024. La sede del Noviziato che si trovava a Kilomoni/Uvira e che era stata temporaneamente traslocata a Vamaro/Bukavu è stata ora trasferita a Bujumbura - Burundi, nuova residenza del Noviziato Saveriano per le Circoscrizioni dell'Africa. Nel Decreto di erezione del Noviziato a Bujumbura, il Superiore Generale ha intitolato la nuova casa del Noviziato "Maison des martyrs de la fraternité au Burundi" (Casa dei martiri della fraternità in Burundi). La celebrazione eucaristica dell'ingresso nel Noviziato è stata presieduta dal Vice-Regionale, p. Léonidas Nayuburundi sx, alla presenza dei confratelli di Bujumbura. Sono 25 i novizi che iniziano questa nuova esperienza in Burundi: 13 dalla Repubblica Democratica del Congo, 9 dal Burundi, 2 dal Camerun e 1 dal Mozambico). The beginning of the Novitiate was effective on the feast of the Apostle Thomas, Wednesday July 3, 2024. The Novitiate house that was in Kilomoni – Uvira (Democratic Republic of Congo) and temporarily moved to Vamaro - Bukavu has been transferred to Bujumbura/Burundi, the new residence of the Xaverian Novitiate for the African Circumscriptions. In the decree of the erection of the Novitiate in Bujumbura, the Superior General has named the new house of the Novitiate "Maison des martyrs de la fraternité au Burundi" (The house of the martyrs of fraternity in Burundi).
