Il nostro confratello p. Alfiero Ceresoli, stimolato dalla lettura di vari interventi sulla Famiglia Carismatica Saveriana e l’uso dell’aggettivo “carismatico” apparsi sul sito della Direzione Generale, condivide una sua riflessione. Scrive p. Alfiero: 

“…Il XVIII Capitolo Generale ci ha offerto questa terminologia, abbastanza in uso nella Teologia della vita consacrata, per affermare, ora con chiarezza e decisione, che Conforti, e con lui la sua famiglia di consacrati, ha ricevuto dallo Spirito alcuni doni specifici che devono arricchire i suoi membri e tutta la Comunità cristiana (LG 43). Questa è la verità che dobbiamo assumere con riconoscenza e coraggio: attraverso il Fondatore siamo stati arricchiti dallo Spirito di un dono specifico: “un proprio carisma” (intr.), da riscoprire (32), e quindi da vivere e da proporre alla Chiesa come un “nuovo stile” (32) di vivere la missione ad gentes. Questo dono, o insieme di doni, nella missione della Chiesa determina la nostra “identità carismatica missionaria” (74). Il carisma Saveriano appartiene a tutta la Chiesa (47). Dobbiamo alla Chiesa questo dono…”

Inspired by the reading of various articles on the Xaverian Charismatic Family and by the use of the adjective ‘charismatic’ that appears on the General Direction’s website, our confrere Fr. Alfiero Ceresoli shares his reflections. He writes:

“The 18^th General Chapter has provided us with this terminology, which is already quite frequent in the Theology of Consecrated Life, to affirm clearly and definitively that Conforti and, along with him, his family of consecrated people, received from the Holy Spirit some specific gifts that must enrich his family members and the entire Christian community (LG 43). This is the truth we must accept with gratitude and courage: through our Founder, we have been enriched by the Spirit with a specific gift: “one’s own charism” (intr.), that has to be rediscovered (no. 32) and, therefore, to be lived and proposed to the Church as a “new style” (no. 32) of living out the mission ad gentes. Such gift, or set of gifts, in the Church’s mission determines our “charismatic missionary identity” (no. 74). The Xaverian charism belongs to the entire Church (no. 47). We owe this gift to the Church...”
