I Confratelli delle nostre tre comunità negli USA stiamo tutti bene, grazie a Dio. Qui a Wayne e a Holliston non sappiamo ancora quando si ricominceranno le attività pastorali e di ministero. Speriamo prossimamente.
A Franklin, nel Wisconsin, e Holliston, nel Massachusetts, il virus non ha fatto le stragi (per così dire) che ha fatto qui negli stati del New Jersey e New York. Le percentuali delle vittime (defunti) è più alta che in Italia, dato che la densità di popolazione qui non è molto alta, a confronto. Per il momento solo nel Wisconsin si sta riprendendo un pochino l'attività pastorale...
Speriamo di poter vedere presto la luce in fondo al tunnel. Ogni bene e sempre uniti nel Risorto e Maria.

COLOMBIA
Le cifre ufficiali, paragonate ad altri paesi, non sembrano particolarmente gravi. Abbiamo ospedali che non vogliono ricevere malati di Covid 19 perché non hanno strutture e mezzi per poter attenderli adeguatamente.
Continuiamo in isolamento, e (quasi) tutti i saveriani rispettano le misure indicate dal governo, evitando celebrazioni pubbliche o attività pastorali. La gente ci è vicina in molti modi: ringraziamo la Provvidenza che attraverso di loro continua ad assisterci.
A causa delle restrizioni nei viaggi internazionali, due confratelli sono ancora bloccati nei loro paesi, senza poter tornare in Colombia. Per il mese di luglio, prevediamo di avere la assemblea dei saveriani. Speriamo sia possibile.

The Xaverians of three Communities in USA are all well, thank God. Here in Wayne and in Holliston, we still do not know when pastoral and ministry activities will begin again. Hopefully soon!
In Franklin, Wisconsin, and Holliston, Massachusetts, the virus didn’t do the slaughter (so to speak) that it did here in the states of New Jersey and New York. The percentage of victims (dead) is higher than in Italy, since the population density here is not very high, by comparison. For the time being, only the State of Wisconsin is recovering a little pastoral activity…
Hopefully we can see the light at the end of the tunnel soon. We wish you the very best, and always united in the Risen Lord.

COLOMBIA
The official figures, compared to other countries, do not seem to be particularly serious. We have Hospitals that do not want to receive Covid 19 patients, because they do not have the facilities and the means to be able to properly care for the victims.
We continue in isolation. Almost all comply with the measures indicated by the government, avoiding public celebrations or pastoral activities. People are close to us in many ways: we do thank Providence who continues to assist us through them.
Due to restrictions on international travel, two of our confreres are stranded in their countries, unable to return to Colombia. For the month of July, we expect to have the meeting of the Xaverian Provincial Assembly. Let’s hope it will be possible!
