Condividiamo il saluto rivolto in lingua francese (e scritto in arabo) alla comunità durante la colazione di mercoledì 29 ottobre 2025 del Professor Youssef Nouiouar, prima del suo ritorno in Marocco, dopo aver partecipato, insieme al nostro confratello p. Rolando Ruiz Duran alle attività organizzate a Roma in occasione del 60° Anniversario della Dichiarazione conciliare “Nostra Aetate” sulle Relazioni della Chiesa con le Religioni non Cristiane.   

 Lode a Dio.

Scrivo queste parole con immensa gioia, in segno di profondo omaggio e sincera gratitudine ai miei cari amici Cristiani appartenenti alla famiglia Saveriana. La vostra ospitalità nella vostra casa, in occasione della mia visita a Roma per partecipare alle celebrazioni del 60° Anniversario della pubblicazione del Documento Nostra Aetate è stata per me una testimonianza viva dei valori dell’amore e della fraternità.

Ho avuto l’onore di fare amicizia con… [I nomi dei membri della comunità, nrd]  così come di altri fratelli di questa famiglia spirituale. Ho sperimentato nei vostri occhi uno sguardo di rispetto e di stima sincera e una connessione umana che trascende la differenza di religioni e fedi.

Un grande grazie per lo spirito di apertura e di fraternità umana che incarnate in parole e in opere.  Non possono dimenticare il mio caro amico e compagno nel cammino nel Dialogo Interreligioso, p. Rolando… [Ruiz Duran, ndr]. Sento la sua benevolenza e la sua amicizia sincera.  Auguro a tutti voi ogni successo e ogni bene.  Youssef Nouiouar

We share the greeting addressed in French (and written in Arabic) to the community during breakfast on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, by Professor Youssef Nouiouar, before his return to Morocco, after having participated, together with our confrere Fr. Rolando Ruiz Duran, in the activities organised in Rome on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the conciliar Declaration ‘Nostra Aetate’ on the Relation of the Church to non-Christian religions.

I write these words with immense joy, as a sign of deep homage and sincere gratitude to my dear Christian friends belonging to the Xaverian family. Your hospitality in your home, on the occasion of my visit to Rome to participate in the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the publication of the Declaration Nostra Aetate, was for me a living testimony to the values of love and fraternity.

I had the honour of befriending... [names of community members, ed.] as well as other brothers and sisters in this spiritual family. I saw in your eyes a gaze of respect and sincere esteem and a human connection that transcends differences in religions and faiths.

A big thank you for the spirit of openness and human fraternity that you embody in words and deeds. I cannot forget my dear friend and companion on the path of Interreligious Dialogue, Fr. Rolando [Ruiz Duran, ed.]. I feel his kindness and sincere friendship. I wish you all every success and all the best. Youssef Nouiouar
