Il nostro confratello p. Alfiero Ceresoli rilegge la prima catechesi (Parma, 14 Gennaio, 1917) del santo Fondatore Guido Maria Conforti sulla preghiera insegnata da Gesù Cristo, alla luce delle ultime parole del Testamento di papa Francesco:

“Le ultime parole del testamento di Papa Francesco sono risuonate nel mio cuore di saveriano come un appello o, se vogliamo usare i nostri testi capitolari, un richiamo ad amare la mia famiglia, a conoscere di più e meglio il Fondatore, San Guido Maria Conforti, e tentare di percorrere la strada di santità che ci ha proposto. Così termina il breve testamento di Francesco: Il Signore dia la meritata ricompensa a coloro che mi hanno voluto bene continueranno a pregare per me. La sofferenza che si è fatta presente nell’ultima parte della mia vita l’offerta al Signore per la pace nel mondo e la fratellanza tra i popoli…”

Our confrere, Fr. Alfiero Ceresoli, re-reads the first catechesis (Parma, January 14^th, 1917) by our Founder St Guido Maria Conforti, which deals with the prayer taught by Jesus Christ. Fr. Alfiero reviews this catechesis in the light of the last words of Pope Francis’ testament:

“As a Xaverian, the last words of Pope Francis’ testament resonated in my heart like an appeal or, if we want to use the documents of our chapter, a call to love my family, to get to know our Founder, St Guido Maria Conforti, more and better, and to try to walk the path of holiness that he proposed to us. This is how Francis’ brief testament ends: May the Lord grant the deserved reward to those who have wished me well and will continue to pray for me. The suffering that marked the final part of my life, I offer to the Lord, for peace in the world and brotherhood among peoples.”
