“…Carissimi, vorremmo condividere con voi, in questo numero de iQuaderni 129 e alla luce dei documenti del XVIII CG, le linee programmatiche che abbiamo preparato come Consiglio generale per il prossimo sessennio 2023–2029.
Vorremmo sottolineare due elementi che dovrebbero accompagnare il cammino saveriano nei prossimi anni. Il primo è indicato da Mons. Conforti: Spirito di viva fede che ci faccia veder Dio, cercar Dio, amar Dio in tutto acuendo in noi il desiderio di propagare ovunque il suo Regno (LT 10). La possibilità di amare Dio con tutto il nostro essere è un grande dono che riceviamo dall’Alto. Questo regalo però va custodito e ravvivato continuamente perché possa svilupparsi e dare frutti in abbondanza. La nostra fedeltà alla specificità carismatica saveriana nella Chiesa dipende da questo amore verso Dio senza incrinature (C 19).
Il secondo elemento corrisponde al momento attuale che stiamo vivendo come Chiesa…Il Sinodo ci sta mostrando un modo di essere Chiesa, caratterizzato dal valore della sinodalità ed esplicitato nei tre elementi che costituiscono il tema sinodale: comunione, partecipazione e missione…”

LETTER BY THE GENERAL DIRECTION: “Guidelines and Activities for the Six-Year Term 2023-2029”
“…Dear brothers, we would like to share with you, in this issue of iQuaderni 129 and in light of the documents of the XVIIIGCh, the programmatic lines we have prepared as a General Council for the next six-year term 2023-2029. …
We want to emphasize two elements that should accompany the Xaverian journey in the coming years. Msgr. Conforti specifies the first: Spirit of living faith, which enables us to see God, seek God, and love God in all things, intensifying our desire to spread his Kingdom everywhere (LT 10). The capacity to love God with our whole being is a great gift from Above. This gift, however, must be safeguarded and rekindled continuously so that it can develop and bear abundant fruits. Our fidelity to the Xaverian charismatic distinctiveness in the Church depends on this love for God without rift (C 19).
The second element corresponds to the current moment we are experiencing as a Church. … The Synod is showing us a way of being Church, characterized by the value of synodality and made explicit in the three elements that constitute the theme for this Synod: communion, participation, and mission. …”
