La Delegazione delle Filippine ha avuto la gioia di celebrare la festa del Fondatore con le professioni perpetue di Augustin Byamungu Mahanga sx e Pasteur Mugisho Bisimwa sx, entrambi congolesi ed il  rinnovo dei voti di altri sette confratelli: Gregorius Purba Nagara sx, Kawaya Idumbo Isidore sx, Kong Shao Feng-Simon sx, Venansius Ganggus sx, Ciza Rwabishugi Anselme sx, Richard Niyukuri sx e Friwandi Nainggolan sx. Il ritiro guidato da p. Patrick Santiañez Salazar sx sul tema dell'"integrità della persona ed i voti religiosi" ha contribuito alla preparazione di questa celebrazione.  Chi si preparava per i voti perpetui ed il futuro diaconato, ha invece aggiunto tre giorni di ritiro nella vicina casa del Noviziato dei Gesuiti.

La messa del 5 novembre è stata presieduta da p. Emanuele Borelli sx che ha ricevuto la professione dei nostri due confratelli in un bel clima di fraternità. Alla messa, celebrata nella nostra parrocchia di San Francesco Saverio, erano presenti alcuni amici e parrocchiani, oltre a tutti i confratelli della delegazione. Degno di nota è il fatto che per la prima volta era presente un gruppo di persone che sta iniziando un cammino di discernimento in vista del Laicato Saveriano. Alla messa è seguito il pranzo insieme agli ospiti, animato da canzoni presentate dalle varie comunità saveriane e dal Laicato Saveriano. Dopo la chiusura dell'anno giubilare, abbiamo avuto ancora una volta la grazia di assistere alla risposta generosa di alcuni giovani alla chiamata del carisma missionario di San Guido Maria Conforti (Matteo Rebecchi sx).

The Delegation of the Philippines was given the joy to celebrate Founder’s Day with: the final profession of two Congolese confreres, Augustin Byamungu Mahanga s.x. and Pasteur Mugisho Bisimwa s.x.; and the renewal of the temporary vows of seven confreres: Gregorius Purba Nagara s.x., Kawaya Idumbo Isidore s.x., Kong Shao Feng-Simon s.x., Venansius Ganggus s.x., Ciza Rwabishugi Anselme s.x., Richard Niyukuri s.x. and Friwandi Nainggolan s.x.

A spiritual retreat guided by Fr. Patrick Santiañez Salazar s.x., who reflected on the theme “Integrity of the Person and Religious Vows”, contributed to the preparation of the celebration. Those preparing for the final profession and future diaconal ordination added extra days of retreat in the nearby house of the Jesuit Novitiate.

On November 5^th, the Mass was presided over by Fr. Emanuele Borelli s.x. who also received the profession of our two confreres. It was a beautiful moment of fraternity. The Mass, celebrated in our St Francis Xavier Parish, was attended by all confreres of the delegation, as well as by some friends and parishioners. It is worth mentioning that, for the first time, in attendance was also a group of people who have begun a journey of reflection with a view to forming a Xaverian Laity. Following the Mass, we had a dinner with the guests, which was entertained with songs performed by the various Xaverian communities and the Xaverian Laity. Thus, after the conclusion of the jubilee year, we were given once again the grace to see some young people answering the call of the missionary charism of St Guido Maria Conforti with generosity.
