I fratelli della Regione del Messico si sono “incontrati” in modo virtuale per svolgere la tradizionale Assemblea di Natale. Insieme ai confratelli della Circoscrizione, p. Fernando García Rodríguez ha accompagnato virtualmente i lavori assembleari, rivolgendo un saluto iniziale e presentando il tema di illuminazione scelto per l’Assemblea. Anche p. Javier Peguero Pérez si è collegato digitalmente, accompagnando le attività della seconda giornata. Due i temi principali di riflessione e condivisione nei giorni 28-29 dicembre: a) le vocazioni: animazione e formazione missionaria e vocazionale; b) la salute dei fratelli.

Nei mesi precedenti l’assemblea era stata portata avanti - a livello comunitario - una riflessione allo scopo di analizzare la realtà.  Durante l’assemblea è stata presentata una sintesi analitica del lavoro fatto da ogni comunità, seguita e illuminata dalla riflessione del Superiore generale. In questo modo si è giunti al punto dell’agire. Abbiamo dedicato un tempo di scambio e dialogo a livello di ogni singola comunità per individuare proposte e orientamenti sui due temi in questione. L'assemblea ha formulato proposte concrete che la Direzione Regionale sistematizzerà e metterà a disposizione delle diverse istanze regionali (direzione regionale, segretariati, commissioni, comunità, ecc.) in vista della loro concretizzazione. Anche i Segretariati e le Commissioni hanno presentato una relazione sulle attività svolte durante l’anno. Infine, sono stati accolti i due nuovi teologi Indonesiani e ringraziato il Signore per i nuovi diaconi consacrati il 6 dicembre scorso. Con un messaggio del Superiore Regionale, p. Juan Jorge Rosales Rodríguez, si sono conclusi i lavori dell’Assemblea di Natale a distanza, anche se uniti a tutti i fratelli della regione. (P. Rubén, Antonio Macías Sapién sx)

The Xaverian Confreres of the Region of Mexico “met” in a ‘virtual way’for their traditional Christmas Assembly. Together will the confreres of the Region of Mexico, Fr. Fernando García Rodríguez, s.x. ‘virtually’ accompanied the Assembly proceedings, addressing an initial greeting to all and, then, presenting the themes of enlightenment chosen for the Assembly. Also Fr. Javier Peguero Pérez, connected digitally, accompanying the activities of the second day. (a) vocations: missionary and vocation education and formation;  (b) the health of our brothers and sisters.

In the month preceding the Assembly, a reflection was carried out at community level with a view to analyzing reality. During the Assembly, an analytical summery of the work done by each community was presented, followed and illuminated by the reflection of the Superior General. In this way, we have reached the point to begin new action. We have spent time exchanging views and in dialogue  at the level of each individual community.  We identified proposals and guidelines on the two issues in question. The Assembly has made concrete proposals and the Regional Administration will highlight them and make them available to the various regional constituencies (Regional Administration, Secretariates, Committees, Communities, etc.) with a view to their implementation. The Secretariats and Commission also presented a report on the activities carried out during the year. Finally, the two new theology students from Indonesia were welcomed and thanked the Lord for the new Deacons consecrated on December 6^th -2020.  With a message from the Regional Superior, Fr. Juan Jorge Rosales Rodríguez, the work of the Christmas Assembly ended, well united with all the Xaverian Confreres of the Region. (Fr. Rubén, Antonio Macías Sapién, s.x.)
