Per l'annuale ricorrenza della Festa del Fondatore dei Saveriani, gli “Amici del Cinquenovembre”, coordinati da P. Ermanno Ferro presso il Centro Studi Confortiani Saveriani, hanno messo assieme anche per quest'anno due iniziative: 1) il Pomeriggio Culturale Confortiano, alla data di mercoledì 9 novembre pv; 2) la pubblicazione di "Parma negli anni n. 26".

La manifestazione del 9 novembre 2022 impegna tre Amici per una indagine sull'anno 1922 ed in esso il comportamento del Conforti. Coordinati da M. Ortensia Banzola Pellegri, parleranno tre studiosi: - Luisella Brunazzi Menoni indagherà sulle "Barricate a Parma" e sul coinvolgimento, in quei moti sociali, del Conforti, analizzando il suo "Appello alla Pace", manifesto fatto appendere ai crocicchi della città, e "l'incontro da lui voluto con Italo Balbo", finalizzato ad una tregua di pacificazione: cosa che avverrà il giorno dopo con la partenza da Parma dei fascisti...; - don Umberto Cocconi analizzerà lo specifico pensiero missionario del Conforti, quale appare dai molti discorsi da lui proposti in quell'anno, soprattutto all'interno del suo coordinamento dell'Unione Missionaria del Clero; - Valentino Sani indulgerà sulla "Radiografia della diocesi di Parma" a partire dalla conclusione della terza visita pastorale, terminata nel dicembre di quell'anno. "Parma negli anni n. 26", nelle sue 192 pagine, è costituito dagli atti del Pomeriggio Confortiano svoltosi nel novembre del 2021 e verte sul tema "1921: continua il torbido dopoguerra": pagine di studi, documentazione e cronaca, che mostrano, tra l'altro, "mons. Conforti samaritano" nei confronti del cassoniere Rossi Amleto, colpito a morte da nemici politici, giacente sul ciglio della strada... e che lui soccorre senza indugio alcuno, portandolo in ospedale.  (Ermanno Ferro sx).

Also this year, to celebrate Founder’s Day of the Xaverian Missionaries, “Amici del Cinquenovembre” (Friends of November 5^th), a group coordinated by Fr. Ermanno Ferro at the Centre for Confortian and Xaverian Studies, has organised two events: 1) a Confortian Cultural Afternoon scheduled for next Wednesday, November 9^th; 2) the publication of Parma negli anni (Parma through the Years), issue n. 26.

The event of November 9^th involves the participation of three Friends who have been asked to carry out a historical research on the year 1922 and Conforti’s actions and behaviour at that time. Chaired by Maria Ortensia Banzola Pellegri, a panel of three scholars will present their papers: Luisella Brunazzi Menoni will explore the “Barricades in Parma” and Conforti’s involvement in that social unrest by analysing his “appeal for peace”, a manifesto he had hang on the crossroads of the city, and the “meeting he wanted to have with Italo Balbo” for the purpose of negotiating a truce and re-establish peace, which is what would happen the day after the meeting, when the Fascists left Parma; Fr. Umberto Cocconi will analyse the missionary thought typical of Conforti as it emerges from the many speeches he delivered during that year, particularly those connected to his work of coordination of the Missionary Union of the Clergy; Valentino Sani will spend time to an “In depth overview of the Diocese of Parma” based on the conclusions reached at the end of Conforti’s third pastoral visit, which was completed in December of that year. The 192 pages of Parma negli Anni n. 26 contain the proceedings of the Confortian Afternoon that was held in November 2021 and which centred around the theme “1921: The Murky Post-war Period Continues.” These are studies, documents and chronicles which, among other things, reveal “Msgr. Conforti as a good Samaritan” towards a wagoner, Amleto Rossi, who had been beaten almost to death by his political opponents and left lying on the border of the road… Conforti rescued him without hesitation, and took him to the hospital.
