L’attesa del dono dello Spirito Santo e la celebrazione di Pentecoste nella comunità di pre-noviziato a Kilomoni sono state segnate da tre momenti:
Il primo momento è stato il ritiro mensile. Abbiamo riflettuto sulle “confessioni” e le preghiere del profeta Geremia. Ciò ci ha aiutato a crescere nella consapevolezza di essere chiamati e modellati gratuitamente da Dio. Da qui l’invito a lasciarci sempre affascinare da Lui.
Il secondo momento è stato l’apertura della Novena di Pentecoste. Un incontro comunitario è stato dedicato all’approfondimento della nostra comprensione di chi sia lo Spirito santo e del suo posto e ruolo nella nostra vita cristiana. I nostri spiriti sono stati illuminati dalla visione di programmi della televisione cattolica francese KTO-TV in cui intervengono noti teologi (vescovi, sacerdoti e laici).
Il terzo ed ultimo momento è stato la novena stessa. Abbiamo pregato e chiesto ogni giorno per un particolare dono dello Spirito Santo. Un postulante ha detto: “Ora comprendo l’importanza di invocare lo Spirito Santo prima di fare qualsiasi cosa.”
La Domenica di Pentecoste siamo andati a portare la nostra testimonianza di comunità che seppure fatta di molte cose diverse forma una sola famiglia. (Valentin Shukuru Bihaira, s.x.)

PENTECOST IN KILOMONI – DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
The waiting for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the celebration of Pentecost in the community of the Pre-novitiate of Kilomoni were marked by three moments:
The first moment was our monthly recollection. We reflected on the “confessions” and prayers of the Prophet Jeremiah. It helped us grow in the awareness of our being gratuitously called and molded by God. Thus, the invitation for us to always let ourselves fascinated by Him.
The second moment was the opening of the Novena of Pentecost. A community meeting was consecrated to the deepening of our understanding of who the Holy Spirit is and his place and role in our Christian life. Watching programs from the French Catholic television KTO TV where prominent theologians (bishops, priests, and laypeople) intervened, illumined our spirits.
The third and last moment was the novena itself. We prayed and asked each day for a particular gift of the Holy Spirit. A pre-novice said: “I now realize the importance of invoking the Holy Spirit before doing anything”.
On Pentecost Sunday, we went forth giving our witness as community made of many diversities and yet forming a single family.(Valentin Shukuru Bihaira, s.x.)
