Dal 17 al 19 agosto, ci siamo riuniti nella nostra casa di Makeni per una breve assemblea, con lo scopo di riflettere e condividere sul tema della celebrazione del Centenario delle prime Costituzioni e della Lettera Testamento del nostro Fondatore. Durante la prima giornata abbiamo letto, riflettuto e condiviso idee sulla Lettera Testamento e sulla lettera della Direzione Generale in occasione dell’anno giubilare 2020-2021. P. Luigi Brioni e P. Vincenzo Munari ci hanno aiutato a riflettere sulla Lettera Testamento con le loro relazioni. P. Louis Birabaluge ci ha poi presentato la lettera della Direzione Generale. La seconda giornata è stata dedicata ad uno scambio di esperienze e di idee sul ministero e sulle attività pastorali durante il lockdown dovuto alla pandemia da Covid-19, e sul modo di adattare le nostre attività alla nuova “normalità”. È stata un’esperienza arricchente ed anche un’opportunità per rafforzare la nostra fraternità e la nostra vocazione missionaria.

From Monday to Wednesday, 17-19 August, we all gathered at the Religious house in Makeni for a mini-assembly. We organized this mini-assembly purposely to reflect and share on the centenary celebration of our first Constitutions and the Testament Letter of our Founder. The first day of our assembly, we focused on reading, reflecting and sharing ideas on the Testament Letter and the Letter from the General Direction to the Confreres for the Xaverian Jubilee 2020–2021. Frs. Luigi Brioni and Vincenzo Munari helped us to deepen in our reflection on the Testament Letter with their reports, meanwhile Fr. Louis Birabaluge introduced us to the letter of General Direction. On the second day, we exchanged experiences and ideas on pastoral ministry and activities during the lockdown due to Pandemic COVID 19; and how to adjust our activities with the new “normality”. Indeed, it was an enriching moment and also an opportunity to strengthen our brotherhood and commitment to our missionary vocation.
