Madrid. Nei giorni 23-27 aprile, si è tenuta a Madrid l’Assemblea di Pasqua della Delegazione della Spagna, che ha visto la partecipazione di P. Eugenio Pulcini della DG. La condivisione delle esperienze vissute recentemente nella celebrazione della Pasqua, con i giovani e gli immigrati a Murcia, con la popolazione della Orotava nell’isola di Tenerife (Canarie), e con il servizio liturgico offerto nelle Comunità Religiose e Parrocchie di Madrid, è stata un motivo di gioia e di esperienza pasquale tra di noi.

Questi giorni di convivenza saveriana mostrano il lavoro proprio di una vita missionaria in mezzo a tante preoccupazioni da affrontare, e alle sfide che ci chiedono di non tacere davanti a un panorama segnato dall’irrazionalità di atti terroristici come quelli perpetuati nello Sri Lanka, che mettono in discussione ancora una volta la convivenza tra i popoli e mostrano l’urgenza di assumere il Dialogo Interreligioso come un imperativo del nostro compito missionario Ad Gentes, qui e ora.

Stare dalla parte degli ultimi, accompagnare processi, rivedere il nostro progetto di vita, lasciarci portare dalle correnti della Risurrezione di tanti che sono già martiri per essere vissuti nella coerenza, o il non permettere a quella fiamma di spegnersi, sono stati i motivi di riflessione di questi giorni meravigliosi vissuti nella fraternità che il nostro Fondatore, S. Guido M. Conforti, ha voluto per noi. Ci resta quella frase di Teresa d’Avila: È dunque molto che volgiate una volta gli occhi a colui che vi offre tanto bene?

Madrid:  The Easter Assembly of the Xaverian Delegation of Spain took place in Madrid on April 23 – 27, 2019.  Fr. Eugenio Pulcini was present as representative of the DG.  The sharing of valuable experiences of the recent celebration of Easter, among the young and the immigrants in Murcia, with the population of Orotava in the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands), and through the liturgical celebrations in the Religious Communities and Parishes of Madrid, gave us great joy and provided a deep paschal experience among all of us.

These days of xaverian community living made evident the quality of our missionary life, not withstanding our many preoccupations and challenges which ask of us all not to remain silent as we face a horizon marked by the irrationality of so many acts of terrorism, as those perpetrated in Shri Lanka.  Once again, they seem to question the necessity of a harmonious living among all peoples and show all the urgency of assuming Interreligious Dialogue as an imperative for our missionary task of being in service of AD GENTES, here and now.  To stay on the side of the last ones, to accompany the various processes, to review of project of life, to let ourselves be led by the currents of the Resurrection of so many who are already martyrs for having lived coherent and faithful to the values of the Gospel, or having not allowed the light to be turned off: these are some of the areas of our thoughts and reflections all along these marvelous days, lived in fraternity as our Founder St. Guido Maria Conforti has wanted.  There remains with us the sentence of Theresa of Avila: “Is it really much to let your eyes turn, once, to the One who offers you so much good?”
