Dopo gli ultimi due  giorni a Fnideq, ieri siamo rientrati a Salerno con un grande senso di gratitudine per ciò che abbiamo vissuto in Marocco. Grati per avere avuto l'opportunità di "stare un po' con..." gli ospiti di alcuni centri di accoglienza degli "ultimi", nella grande città di Tangeri: con  i  bambini che vivono in strada e vengono al centro "Il Faro", per ricevere  ristoro, per qualche ora, al fisico, al cuore e alla mente; con le ragazze madri sub-sahariane o marocchine, in dolce attesa o con i piccoli di pochi mesi, ospitate dalle Suore di Madre Teresa di Calcutta; con gli anziani ospiti nell' Ospedale spagnolo; con i ricoverati nell'Ospedale italiano; con.. la gente che incontravamo per strada. Grati per "stare un po’ con..." le  comunità cristiane della Chiesa di Tangeri: con la comunità religiosa e laica dell' Obispado  con il suo Vescovo Emilio, insieme anche alla comunità dei frati francescani che vive in un'ala del Vescovado; con la comunità delle suore dell'ospedale italiano; con  la comunità del monastero di clausura delle suore carmelitane; con la comunità delle Suore di Madre Teresa di Calcutta; a Fnideq,  con i nostri  Missionari Saveriani (i pp Rolando Ruiz Durán e François Saleh Moll e l'ultimo arrivato, il diacono Dieudonné Ombeni Bagalane) e con la comunità cristiana che la domenica si ritrova intorno alla mensa Eucaristica a Midril, una cittadina distante 20 km. Unirci a loro in alcuni momenti di preghiera, sentirsi con loro comunità è stato un dono prezioso.  Ciò che desideravamo per questo breve periodo era proprio  "star con..."  e per grazia di Dio ci è stato possibile per la generosa accoglienza di molti, cristiani e musulmani di questa terra amata da Dio. Un grazie particolare a Fr. Emilio Rocha Grande, OFM,  Vescovo di Tangeri, che ci ha accolti come un fratello. Speriamo di poter tornare presto… In shaa Allah.  (Anna Paola e Nino, Laici Saveriani)

After the last two days in Fnideq, we returned to Salerno yesterday with great gratitude for what we experienced in Morocco. Grateful for having had the opportunity to "be with… "the guests of some shelters that offer hospitality to the "last ones" in the great city of Tangier: with the street children who come to the "Lighthouse" center for a few hours, to receive nourishment for the body, the mind and the heart; with the sub-Saharan or Moroccan single mothers, pregnant or with babies just a few months old, guests of the Sisters of Mother Teresa of Calcutta; with the elderly in the Spanish Hospital; with the patients in the Italian Hospital; with... the people we met on the streets. Grateful for "being, even though for a brief moment, with…" the Christian communities of the Church of Tangier: with the religious and lay community living in the Bishop's residence with Bishop Emilio, together with the community of Franciscan friars living in a wing of the residence; with the community of the sisters serving in the Italian Hospital; with the community of the cloistered Carmelite nuns; with the community of the Sisters of Mother Teresa of Calcutta; with our Xaverian Missionaries (Frs. Rolando Ruiz Durán, François Saleh Moll and the latest arrival, Deacon Dieudonné Ombeni Bagalane) in Fnideq; and with the Christian community that meets on Sundays around the Eucharistic table in Midril, a town 20 km away. Being with them in moments of prayer and feeling part of the same community was a precious gift. We longed to "be with..." and by God's grace, it became possible due to the generous welcome of many Christians and Muslims of this land loved by God. We thank in a particular way. Msg.
