Il p. Giacomo Spagnolo, riferendosi al 24 maggio scrisse:  “Oggi, 24 maggio, la Società Missionaria di Maria ha trovato la sua Fondatrice, che al Signore dice il suo ‘fiat’ ” . Lo stesso p. Giacomo ebbe a dire: “Non poteva mancare alla gloria di Mons. Conforti l’attuazione di un progetto che la morte gli fece lasciare incompiuto, ma che il merito della santità gli ottiene di attuare quotidianamente dal Cielo: la fondazione e lo sviluppo di una Congregazione Missionaria Femminile, ramo del suo Istituto Missionario”.

“Questo seme è stato gettato in un terreno fertile e ha germogliato, è diventato albero, le cui radici si sono estese, attraversando oceani e terre e porta frutti. L'agricoltore: P. Giacomo Spagnolo, il terreno fertile: Madre Celestina Bottego, i frutti: tutte le Saveriane sparse nel mondo che, a loro volta, gettano il seme della Parola in tutti coloro che incontrano nel loro cammino di evangelizzazione. Io, Rosetta, nata come missionaria da questo seme, rinnovo la mia più profonda gratitudine a Dio Padre, al Figlio e allo Spirito di Amore, per essere stata scelta e inviata in Africa e in Brasile, per dire a tutti che Dio è il nostro Padre Misericordioso che ci ama, ci perdona e non ci abbandona mai”. Referring to May 24^th, Fr. Giacomo Spagnolo s.x. once wrote: “Today, May 24^th, the future Missionary Society of Mary was given her Mother Founder, [for on this day] she said to the Lord her own ‘fiat’ (thy will be done).” Fr. Giacomo also said: “The glory of Msgr. Conforti would have been incomplete without the realisation of a project which death forced him to leave unaccomplished, but which the merits deriving from holiness allow him to realise every day from Heaven: the foundation and development of a Women Missionary Congregation, a branch of his Missionary Institute.”

“This seed was sown in fertile soil and sprouted; it grew into a tree, whose roots spread far and wide, crossing oceans and lands, and bearing fruit. The farmer was: Fr Giacomo Spagnolo; the fertile soil: Mother Celestina Bottego; the fruits: all the Xaverian Sisters scattered throughout the world who, in turn, sow the seed of the Word in all those they meet on their journey of evangelisation. I, Rosetta, born as a missionary from this seed, renew my deepest gratitude to God the Father, the Son and the Spirit of Love, for having been chosen and sent to Africa and Brazil, to tell everyone that God is our Merciful Father who loves us, forgives us and never abandons us.” (Rosetta Mancini, mmx)
