“Questo tempo e il suo oltre: aggiornamento sull’escatologia” è il titolo del XXXII Corso di aggiornamento per docenti di teologia dell’ATI (Associazione Teologica Italiana), che ha avuto luogo a Roma, Casa La Salle, nei giorni 27-29 dicembre 2022. Il corso si proponeva di rileggere alcune questioni o categorie centrali dell’escatologia, individuando possibili nuove prospettive: pensare oggi il tempo e il suo oltre; le categorie di giudizio (krisis), morte e vita; la Teologia e la morte; la Teologia e la vita… 

La riflessione ha anche preso in esame le relazioni della/nella Chiesa con coloro che non vivono più nella storia come mortali: Maria nella comunione dei santi: rileggere il dogma dell’Assunzione; con i defunti e con i santi; prospettive spirituali e liturgiche...

Al corso hanno partecipato oltre 70 tra teologhe e teologi italiani, tra i quali anche il direttore di “Missione Oggi”, p. Mario Menin sx, come socio ATI e docente di teologia presso lo STI (Studio Teologico Interdiocesano) di Reggio Emilia. Tra le attività dell’ATI ci sono anche i congressi nazionali. Il prossimo, il XXVIII, sarà celebrato a Villa Cagnola, Gazzada (Varese) nei giorni 28 agosto-2 settembre 2023 sul tema cristologico. Tra i relatori anche p. Viviano Rocco sx, attualmente missionario in Giappone, che parlerà sulle cristologie in Asia.

“This time and beyond it: An update on eschatology” is the title of the XXXII Refresher Course for theology teachers of ATI (Associazione Teologica Italiana) that took place in Rome, at Casa La Salle, on December 27^th-29^th, 2022. The course aimed at reviewing some central questions or categories of eschatology and identifying new possible perspectives: thinking about and beyond time today; the categories of judgment (krisis), death and life; theology and death; theology and life; and so on. 

The reflection touched also upon the relation of/within the Church with those who no longer live in history as mortal individuals: Mary in the communion of saints: re-reading the dogma of Assumption; with the dead and with the saints; spiritual and liturgical perspectives; et cetera.

More than 70 Italian men and women theologians participated in the course, including the director of Missione Oggi, Fr. Mario Menin s.x., who is an associate member of ATI and theology teacher at STI (Studio Teologico Interdiocesano) of Reggio Emilia (Italy). Among the activities carried out by ATI are also national congresses. The next, which will be the XXVIII congress, will be held in Villa Cagnola, Gazzada (Varese, Italy) from August 28^th to September 2^nd, 2023 and will centred on Christology. Among the invited speakers there will be Fr. Viviano Rocco s.x., who is presently working as a missionary in Japan; he will speak on Asian Christologies.
