∗ In the past, the mission of the Church was aiming at the salvation of souls. Now it is centered on the proclamation of the Good News. It followed that previously the sacraments were only considered as instruments for the good of souls. The previous stages were based on the plantatio ecclesiae, now our goal is to build the kingdom of God.
∗ Considering the ecclesial aspect, the Church in Sierra Leone is becoming more an African Church marked by the growing number of the local clergy, both priests and bishops.
∗ The Church is showing a new face, manifested by the significant participation and role of the laity.
∗ There is an increasing number of Sierra Leoneans, whose religious roots are those of the traditional beliefs, who are willing to embrace the Christian faith.
