Dal 26 al 28 settembre 2023 si è tenuto a Roma, nella casa generalizia dei Missionari della Consolata, il II Convegno Nazionale dei Fratelli degli Istituti Missionari Italiani (Saveriani, Consolata, Comboniani e PIME). Il convegno ha visto la partecipazione di 16 fratelli (per i Saveriani vi hanno partecipato: Luigi Pinna sx, Bruno Menici sx e Maurizio Zenere sx) e ha avuto come titolo: “Fratelli in una missione comune: in cammino con la Laudato Sì”.
Nel primo giorno, il dottor Lucio Lamberti, economista e docente, ci ha illustrato l’Enciclica Laudato Sì nella sua interezza, sottolineando in particolare la dimensione economica.
Nel secondo giorno, fr. Alberto Parise, Comboniano, ci ha presentato la “Piattaforma di iniziative Laudato Sì”, uno strumento promosso nel 2021 dal Dicastero per il Servizio dello Sviluppo Umano Integrale, strumento che consente alle istituzioni, alle comunità e alle famiglie di attuare la Laudato Sì. Il fratello Comboniano, inoltre, ci ha accompagnati ad incontrare alcuni membri di uno dei “Circoli Laudato Sì”, gruppi spontanei che, nel mondo, cercano di concretizzare lo spirito dell’enciclica.
Il terzo giorno, don Giacomo Incitti, canonista, ci ha aggiornati in merito all’argomento degli istituti misti e al rescritto papale del maggio 2022 circa la deroga al Canone 588 § 2 CIC (fratelli che possono essere scelti come superiori).
Giovedì 28 pomeriggio, abbiamo chiuso il convegno con l’Eucaristia presieduta da p. James Bhola Lengarin (Superiore Generale dei Missionari della Consolata) e con una serata, a base di pizza e birra (ex crypta Xaveriana), nella comunità saveriana di Viale Vaticano 40.
Oltre alle tematiche affrontate, il convegno è stato una bella e utile opportunità per approfondire la conoscenza reciproca, rafforzare la collaborazione, analizzare insieme iniziative ed esperienze di rinnovamento, riflettere sulle problematiche comuni e creare uno scambio che continua anche fuori dai convegni. From September 26th to 28th, 2023, the Second National Congress of Brothers belonging to the Italian Missionary Institutes (Xaverians, Consolata, Comboni and PIME) was held in Rome at the General House of the Consolata Missionaries. The congress was attended by 16 brothers (the Xaverians were represented by Luigi Pinna s.x., Bruno Menici s.x. and Maurizio Zenere s.x.). Title of the event: “Brothers in a common mission: walking with Laudato Sì.”
On the first day, economist and professor Dr Lucio Lamberti illustrated the entire Encyclical letter Laudato Sì while stressing it economic dimension.
On the second day, Br. Alberto Parise (Comboni Missionary) presented the “Laudato Sì Initiatives Platform,” namely a venue promoted by the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development in 2021 that works as a tool allowing institutions, communities, and families to implement Laudato Sì. Moreover, the Comboni Brother tool us to meet some members of one of the “Laudato Sì Circles” – spontaneous groups aroud the world that try to concretise the spirit of the Encyclical.
On the third day, Canon Law scholar Fr. Giacomo Incitti gave us an update on the issues of mixed institutes and the papal rescript of May 2022 which grants exceptions to Canon 588 § 2 CIC (brothers who may be chosen as superiors).
In the afternoon of Thursday 28th, we concluded the congress with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. James Bhola Lengarin (Superior General of the Consolata Missionaries) and an evening of pizza and beer (from the crypta Xaveriana) in the Xaverian community of Viale Vaticano 40.
Apart from discussing those themes, the congress has also been a beautiful and useful occasion to deepen mutual knowledge, foster collaboration, analyse together initiatives and experiences of renewal, reflect on common problems, and create an exchange that continues beyond the congress.
