Guarigione, rispetto, perdono, riconciliazione e verità. Il Card. Luis Antonio Tagle, pro-prefetto del Dicastero per l’Evangelizzazione, ha voluto incontrare la gente di Goma, capoluogo del martoriato Nord Kivu (RDC), pregando con loro e per loro, invocando da Dio i doni necessari per un territorio ferito da violenze e calamità naturali. Martedì 13 giugno 2023, il cardinale ha celebrato l’Eucaristia e visitato il campo profughi di Lushala, che tra i suoi tendoni accoglie circa 13 mila persone. Sono tutti rifugiati in fuga dalle zone di conflitto tra l’esercito e le milizie ribelli dell’M23 e anche dalla recente eruzione del vulcano Nyiragongo.

On Tuesday, June 13^th, 2023, the Cardinal celebrated Mass and visited the refugee camp of Lushala, which under its tents shelters about 13 thousand people. These are all refugee fleeing from the conflict between the army and the M23 rebel militias, and also from the recent eruption of the Nyragongo Volcano.
