Mercoledì 7 giugno 2023, durante la visita pastorale, il vescovo di Tete, Dom Diamantino Antunes, ha ufficialmente creato a Doa la parrocchia San Guido Maria Conforti. Si tratta della prima parrocchia in Mozambico intitolata al nostro Fondatore. La nuova parrocchia è stata smembrata dalla parrocchia di Charre, servita dai Saveriani fin dal 2005. I confratelli, pur vivendo a Charre che si trova a 120 km da Doa, accompagneranno il cammino delle 14 comunità che compongono la nuova parrocchia. Doa è sede dell'omonimo distretto, situato nella regione centrale del paese, ed è una fascia delimitata ad ovest dal fiume Zambesi e a est dalle montagne che fanno da confine col Malawi. Il distretto si estende su una superficie di 3.579 km² ed è popolato da circa 90.000 abitanti, dediti soprattutto all'agricoltura e all'allevamento. (Andrea Facchetti sx)

On Wednesday, June 7^th, 2023, during his pastoral visit, the Bishop of Tete, Dom Diamantino Antunes, officially established in Doa the St Guido Maria Conforti Parish. It is the first parish in Mozambique to be named after our Founder. The new parish has been carved out from the parish of Charre, that has been ministered by the Xaverians since 2005. Although our confreres will keep residing in Charre, which is 120 km away from Doa, they will accompany the journey of the 14 communities that compose the new parish. Doa is the site of the homonymous district, which is located in the country’s central region; it is a strip of land between the river Zambesi in the West and the mountains that delimit the border with Malawi in the East.
