In occasione della preparazione de iSaveriani n.130 che uscirà a breve dalla tipografia e che raccoglie le ultime attività dell’ultima parte dell’anno 2023, il Superiore Generale, p. Fernando García Rodríguez, nel suo editoriale, ha rivolto a tutti i confratelli una lettera che anticipiamo, inviandola a tutti gli indirizzi dei confratelli iscritti al sito.
Scrive il Padre Generale:
“…Durante le visite che effettuiamo nei luoghi in cui vivete e testimoniate l'amore di Dio, di solito incontriamo persone concrete che hanno accolto il Vangelo di Gesù Cristo grazie alla vostra mediazione e presenza. È commovente ascoltare dalle labbra di persone così diverse, da un continente all'altro queste parole: grazie per la vostra vita missionaria; grazie per averci portato Gesù Cristo. Quei volti gioiosi, sorridenti, che emanano pace e speranza dovrebbero trovar posto sul nostro comodino. Sono loro che ci ricordano che "La messe è molta e gli operai sono pochi. Pregate dunque il Padrone della messe che mandi operai nella sua messe" (Mt 9,37-38).
Carissimi, accogliamo il nuovo anno 2024 come un dono prezioso dal Signore. Continuiamo il nostro cammino, passo dopo passo, sfruttando ogni istante e accogliendo tutte le opportunità per far conoscere ed amare Gesù Cristo.
Rendiamo altrettanto gradevole la nostra convivenza fraterna…”

For the upcoming issue of iSaveriani n. 130 that lists the activities of the last part of the year 2023, the Superior General, Fr. Fernando García Rodríguez, writes an editorial piece in the form of a letter to all confreres, and sends it to all the addresses of the confreres registered in GD’s website.
Father General writes:
“…In the course of our visits to the places where you live and bear witness to God's love, we usually meet concrete people that have received the Gospel of Jesus Christ through your mediation and presence. “Thank you for your missionary life; Thank you for bringing Jesus Christ to us”: hearing these words on the lips of so different people from one continent to another is moving. Their joyful and smiling faces that emanate peace and hope should find a place on our bedside table. They are the ones who remind us that “The harvest is abundant, but the labourers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out labourers for his harvest” (Mt 9:37-38).
Dear confreres, let us welcome the new year 2024 as a precious gift from the Lord. Let us continue our journey, step after step, making the most out of each instant and welcoming all opportunities to let Jesus Christ be known and loved.
And let us make our fraternal life together equally enjoyable…”
