Il ritorno dei professi del 4° anno di Teologia dal ritiro ignaziano (fine agosto), il rientro di quelli che erano in vacanza “apostoliche” nell'Est del paese e l’arrivo dei neo-professi destinati al Teologato di Kinshasa sono stati tempi vissuti dalla comunità teologica al passo di carica.

A turno abbiamo tenuto sessioni di formazione sull'etica pastorale in relazione agli abusi (dal 11 al 13/09), sulla Liturgia delle Ore (dal 14 al 16/09) e sulla Salute.

Dal 25/09 al 30/09, i giovani confratelli del 1° anno, 2° e 3° hanno vissuto il ritiro annuale. P. Félix Kuate Bougieka, superiore regionale del Camerun - Ciad ha predicato gli esercizi. Lo ringraziamo ancora per questo suo servizio.

Nel suo viaggio di ritorno verso Kindu, suo luogo di missione, p. Mario Sciamanna, di passaggio a Kinshasa, ha ricevuto la sua destinazione dal superiore regionale a fermarsi definitivamente nella nostra comunità per svolgervi il ruolo di Direttore Spirituale. La notizia della nuova destinazione al Teologato di Kinshasa di p. Mario è stata accolta con grande gioia ed ovazioni:  la disponibilità di p. Mario Sciamanna parla dei nostri confratelli più anziani come dei veri e propri monumenti di obbedienza e perseveranza. 

Dal 5 al 7 ottobre, insieme al superiore regionale del Congo, la comunità si è ritrovata a Kimbondo-Télécom per elaborare il Progetto Comunitario di Vita 2023-2024.

La programmazione è stata come il punto di arrivo di una maratona iniziata con il ritorno dalla diaspora estiva. In questi giorni di pianificazione, ci siamo sentiti tutti coinvolti a condividere con coraggio, cuore e mente, gli obiettivi formativi per il nuovo anno. Lo spirito di famiglia ha accompagnato il lavoro svolto nel vivo ricordo del XVIII Capitolo Generale celebrato in queste terre: fraternità, verità, impegno, voglia di fare meglio, “camminare insieme” e responsabilità.

L’ Università inizierà l’anno accademico il giorno 16 ottobre prossimo: nuove tappe, nuove sfide, chiamandoci tutti, in modi diversi, a percorrere insieme questo nuovo tratto di strada. (Katindi Ramazani sx)

The return (at the end of August) of the fourth-year professed theology students from their Ignatian retreat, the homecoming of those who went on “apostolic” vacation to the East of the country, the arrival of the newly professed assigned to the Theologate of Kinshasa: recently, our community spent a quite hectic period of time.

We took turns in offering training session on pastoral ethics about abuses (from September 11^th to 13^th), on the Liturgy of the Hours (from September 14^th to 16^th) and on health.

From September 25^th to 30^th, the young confreres in the  1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd year had their yearly retreat. Fr. Félix Kuate Bougieka, superior regional of Cameroon-Chad, preached the spiritual exercises. We thank him again for this service.

During his trip back to Kindu, his mission station, Fr. Mario Sciamanna received a new assignment by the superior regional: he will stop in our community for he has been appointed our spiritual director. The news of the new assignment of Fr. Mario was welcomed with joy and cheering: Fr. Mario Sciamanna’s availability tells much of our older confreres. From October 5^th to 7^th, the community, along with the superior regional of Congo, gathered in Kimbondo-Télécom to draw up the Community Life Project 2023-2024.  

The planning arrived at the end of a marathon which began with the return from the Summer diaspora. During the days of planning, we all felt involved in sharing with courage, heart and mind, the formation goals set down for the new year. With the memory still alive of the General Chapter that was celebrated in these lands, the work carried out in these days was marked by family spirit: fraternity, truth, commitment, desire to improve, “walking together” and sense of responsibility.

The academic year at the University will begin on October 16^th: new stages, new challenges; though in different ways, we are all called to walk together this new stretch of road. (Katindi Ramazani s.x.)
