Uno più o uno meno, 300 sono i cartoni con pellicole storiche prodotte dai Saveriani e produzioni successive di OltremareFilm e di VideoMission, arrivati dalla Casa di Brescia il 15 marzo: riempivano l’entrata della casa genera-lizia.
L’Archivio Generale Saveriano, con l'arrivo di apporti dal mondo saveriano, sta diventando così sempre più memoria e punto di riferimento "vivo" per la storia e vita dei Saveriani. Si è dovuto procedere all'ampliamento e riadat-tamento di alcuni locali.
INCONTRO FORMATORI AMERICA L.
Il Convegno continentale (Curitiba, 5-11 marzo) ha concluso i lavori con la stesura della bozza del documento Per un progetto comune di formazione di formazione saveriana in America Latina, riflessioni, orientamenti e linee operative.
Nel messaggio finale dei convegnisti, si ribadiscono le linee guida, che ci uniscono nella diversità: “i processi e gli obiettivi formativi, così come gli ideali e le motivazioni che entusiasmano e danno significato al nostro lavoro formativo”.
Consapevoli infine che “le equipe formative sarebbero meno feconde, se non ci fosse la simpatia, l’appoggio, le preghiere e il vissuto della testimonianza di tutti i Saveriani delle nostre Circoscrizioni”.
Segnaliamo che sul sito della DG, si stanno pubblicando alcuni degli interventi fatti al Convegno.
CONGO REPUBBLICA DEMOCRATICA
Bukavu, casa regionale, 17 marzo: a quattro anni dall’apertura del Museo del Kivu, i Saveriani hanno organizzato l’annuale incontro culturale sul tema: "La guérison entre nos traditions et les sciences".
Concretamente si è tenuta una tavola rotonda composta da un medico, un antropologo, un biologo e un erborista. Moderatore
P. Nkumbo Witha Willy sx. Il dibattito ha evidenziato il contributo delle tradizioni locali nel superare i problemi fisici e psicologici.
PUBLICAZIONI
A Kinshasa l’Ed. Afriquespoir ha pubblicato, di Mgr Sebastien-J. Muyengo Mulombe, vescovo di Uvira, Pour une Eglise pauvre avec les pauvres. Esprit Mgr Christoph Munzihirwa.
Un capitolo dell’opuscolo è dedicato ai Servi di Dio Carrara, Faccin, Didonè e Joubert.

GENERAL ARCHIVES
15 Mar: Roughly 300 boxes containing historical films produced by the Xaverians, OltremareFilm and VideoMission were brought to Rome from Brescia.
The Xaverian General Archives are fast becoming the place of reference for the history and life of the Xaverians. Some parts of the archives have been extended and reorganized to accommodate this material.
LATIN AMERICAN FORMATORS MEETING
Curitiba, 5-11 Mar: The Formators ended their Meeting by drafting the document : A common Xaverian formation project in Latin America, reflections, guidelines and policy.
The final message of the Meeting refers to the guiding principles that unite us in diversity: “the processes and formative goals, along with the ideas that inspire us and which give meaning to our work”.
Mindful that “the formation teams would be less fruitful were it not for the affection, support, prayers and witness of all the Xaverians of our Circumscriptions”.
The General Direction’s website contains some of the interventions made at the Meeting.
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLC OF CONGO
Bukavu, Regional House, 17 Mar: four years after the opening of the Kivu museum, the Xaverians organized the annual cultural meeting on the topic: "La guérison entre nos traditions et les sciences".
The round table was made up of a physician, an anthropologist and a herbalist. Fr. Nkumbo Witha Willy sx was the Moderator.
The debate highlighted the contribution of local traditions in the effort to solve physical and psychological problems.

Only the Italian version of the profiles will be printed, whilst the English version will be uploaded to the General Direction’s website”.
