Cari confratelli,

In seguito alle raccomandazioni del XVIIICG 95, noi responsabili delle Circoscrizioni saveriane d'Africa, su invito della Direzione Generale, ci siamo riuniti a Bafoussam - Camerun, dal 15 al 22 giugno 2025. Il tema dei nostri scambi è stato: «La presenza saveriana in Africa all'ora dei grandi cambiamenti. Quali cammini di speranza?»

Il nostro obiettivo è quello di riscoprire la bellezza del nostro carisma e liberarci da tutto ciò che ci impedisce di essere fedeli alla nostra identità di Missionari Saveriani, interamente dedicati al primo annuncio del Vangelo. Con i cambiamenti che scuotono il mondo, sentiamo l'urgenza di stare attenti a non sminuire la nostra identità carismatica per continuare ad essere «testimoni di Cristo come missionari Ad Gentes nella consacrazione religiosa».

All'ordine del giorno dei nostri scambi, abbiamo riflettuto sulla presenza Saveriana nella Chiesa locale, la formazione di base e permanente, l'economia, il laicato saveriano, la famiglia carismatica, le richieste e le proposte dell'ultimo Capitolo Generale. Dear confreres,

Following the recommendations of the 18^th General Chapter, N° 95, we, superiors of the Xaverian Circumscriptions in Africa, met in Bafoussam, Cameroon, from June 15 to 22, 2025 at the invitation of the General Direction. Our discussions focused on "The Xaverian presence in Africa in a time of great changes. What paths of hope?"

Our aim is to rediscover the beauty of our Charism and get ourselves rid of whatever prevents us from being faithful to our identity as Xaverian Missionaries entirely dedicated to the first proclamation of the Gospel. Considering the changes that are shaking the whole world, we feel the urgency to ensure that we do not dilute our Charismatic Identity so as to continue "being witnesses of Christ, as missionaries Ad Gentes in religious consecration."

As part of the agenda of our discussions, we reflected on: the Xaverian presence in the local Church; initial and ongoing formation; economy; the Xaverian laity; the charismatic family; the requests and proposals of the last General Chapter. (from the Final Message of “Cosuma Afrique 2025”)
