Oltre 300 consacrati, religiosi e religiose provenienti da tutti i continenti, si sono ritrovati in Vaticano dal 1 al 4 febbraio per ricevere il mandato in vista del Giubileo per la Vita Consacrata che avrà luogo ad ottobre 2025. Il tema dell’incontro è stato: “Pellegrini di speranza, sulla via della pace”.
I primi due giorni si sono svolti sullo stesso stile che si è tenuto al Sinodo, quello delle tavole rotonde, che ha permesso ai partecipanti di avere occasione per conoscersi e di effettuare scambi su temi legati al mondo della Chiesa, della sinodalità e della vita consacrata.
Tra i relatori che sono intervenuti, è stato presente anche il nostro confratello p. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya, Sottosegretario del Dicastero per il Dialogo Interreligioso.
Anche i confratelli pp. Héctor Gabriel Arroyo Salcido e Pietro Rossini hanno partecipato in qualità di membri dell'equipe MissioNET per coprire l'evento per il Dicastero della Vita Consacrata.
Il 2 febbraio, Giornata della vita consacrata, tutti i partecipanti si sono uniti a Papa Francesco per la solenne celebrazione nella Basilica di San Pietro.
L’incontro si è concluso nella Sala del Sinodo, in Vaticano, con la presenza del Card. João Braz De Aviz, Prefetto del Dicastero per gli Istituti di vita consacrata e le Società di vita apostolica.
Alla fine dell’incontro i partecipanti hanno ricevuto la benedizione di Papa Francesco in Piazza San Pietro in occasione dell’Angelus domenicale. (Pietro Rossini sx e Héctor Gabriel Arroyo Salcido sx)

COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE TEAM OF MissioNET AND THE DICASTERY FOR INSTITUTES OF CONSECRATED LIFE AND SOCIETIES OF APOSTOLIC LIFE
More than 300 consecrated, religious men and women coming from all continents, gathered at the Vatican from February 1st to 4th, to receive the mandate for the upcoming Jubilee of Consecrated life that will take place in October 2025. Theme of the meeting was: “Pilgrims of Hope, on the Path to Peace.”
The first two days were conducted by following the same style adopted by the Synod, that is, with round tables to allow participants to familiarise with each other and share views on topics concerning the Church, synodality and consecrated life.
Among the invited speakers was the Xaverian Fr. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya, Undersecretary of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue.
Our confreres, Fr. Gabriel Arroyo Salcido and Fr. Pietro Rossini also took part in their capacity as member of the MissioNET Team to cover the event for the Dicastery of Consecrated Life.
On February 2nd, World Day for Consecrated Life, all participants joined Pope Francis for the solemn celebration in St Peter Basilica.
The meeting came to a conclusion in the Hall of the Synod, within the Vatican, at the presence of Card. João Braz De Aviz, Prefect of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic life.
