Il Vescovo di Vicenza, Giuliano Brugnotto, nel rivolgere gli auguri di Buona Pasqua alla diocesi, esordisce così: “Desidero rivolgere gli auguri pasquali partendo da un’immagine. L’immagine è quella della Lanterna che p. Giovanni Didoné e Albert Joubert, un altro sacerdote in Congo, hanno lasciato accesa proprio tra la notte e il mattino, quando vennero uccisi, come martiri, a causa del loro essere missionari e portatori del Vangelo. Quella lampada è rimasta accesa a vegliare tutta la notte. Ed è un segno chiaro di ciò che portavano nel cuore…”

The Bishop of Vicenza, Giuliano Brugnotto, begins his Easter Greetings to the diocese by saying: “In sending my Easter Wishes, I would like to draw inspiration from an image. The image is that of the Lamp which Fr. Giovanni Didonéand Albert Joubert, another priest in Congo, left burning through the night they were killed – martyred because of their being missionaries and bearers of the Gospel. That lamp was left burning to keep vigil the whole night. It is a clear sign of what they carried in their hearts…”
