Sul sito web della DG, pubblichiamo il documento “La formazione iniziale in tempo di abusi”, frutto dell’attività di formazione e prevenzione del Servizio Nazionale della Conferenza Episcopale Italiana per la tutela dei minori e delle persone vulnerabili. Il sussidio si propone quale strumento didattico-formativo, rivolto specialmente ai candidati agli ordini sacri e alla vita consacrata e ai loro formatori.
L’aspetto più delicato, tra i contenuti del sussidio, riguarda l’impegno di costruire l’identità del futuro prete o religioso, andando oltre quelle forme di clericalismo e di abuso di potere e di autorità che troppo spesso in passato rappresentavano un certo modo di intendere la figura del prete. «Per ottenere questo cambiamento e rinnovare l’identità presbiterale liberandola dallo spazio occupato dalle tentazioni relative all’abuso di coscienza, dall’abuso di potere, dall’abuso affettivo, che talvolta è premessa dell’abuso sessuale, bisogna lavorare sulla maturità della persona. Non solo quella vocazionale, ma anche quella affettiva e sessuale del celibe per il Regno» (Lorenzo Ghizzoni, arcivescovo di Ravenna Cervia).
“La formazione iniziale in tempo di abusi” è il terzo sussidio di un progetto formativo della CEI che comprende al momento altri due titoli, “Le ferite degli abusi” e “Le buone prassi in parrocchia” (liberamente scaricabili qui). Questi tre sussidi, pensati per formatori, educatori ed operatori pastorali, sono strumenti di studio e di approfondimento molto importanti soprattutto per tutti coloro che, nei consigli di Circoscrizione, nel campo della formazione e della pastorale missionaria delle nostre Circoscrizioni, si impegnano per educare alla prevenzione di ogni forma di abuso in ambito ecclesiale e per favorire la nascita di nuovi atteggiamenti e di una nuova coscienza.

FORMATION AND PREVENTION
On the DG’s website, we publish the document “La formazione iniziale in tempo di abusi”, (Basic formation in time of abuse) the result of formation and prevention activities of the National Service of the Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI) for the protection of minors and vulnerable people. The document is proposed as an educational tool, aimed especially at candidates for sacred orders and consecrated life and their formators.
The most delicate aspect, among the contents of the text, concerns the commitment to build the identity of the future priest or religious person, going beyond those forms of clericalism and abuse of power and authority that, too often in the past, represented a certain way of understanding the figure of the priest. “In order to achieve this change and renew the priestly identity by freeing it from the space occupied by temptations related to the abuse of conscience, abuse of power, emotional abuse, which often are the forerunner of sexual abuse, it is necessary to work on the maturity of the person. Not only the vocational one, but also the affective and sexual one for the celibacy of the Kingdom” (Mons. Lorenzo Ghizzoni, Archbishop of Ravenna Cervia).
“La formazione iniziale in tempo di abusi” is the third document of the CEI formation project, which currently includes other titles: “Le ferite degli abusi” (The wounds of abuse) and “Le buone prassi in parrocchia” (Good practices in the Parish) can be freely download here. These three aids, designed for formators, educators and pastoral workers, are very important tools of study and deepening especially for all those who, in the Circumscriptions Councils, in the field of formation and pastoral care are committed to educating to prevent all forms of abuse in the ecclesial sphere and to foster the birth of new attitudes and a new conscience.
