Per la prima volta, il Teologato Internazionale di Kinshasa ha lanciato l’iniziativa dell’ Infanzia Missionaria (Œuvre Pontificale de l’Enfance Missionnaire). L'obiettivo è quello di infondere nei bambini lo spirito missionario, spina dorsale della Chiesa. Alla scuola della Beata Pauline JARICOT li abbiamo introdotti alla preghiera, alla condivisione e all'annuncio, trinomio della vita dell'Infanzia Missionaria.

Al termine di queste attività di formazione, domenica 26 giugno 2022, festa del Sacro Cuore di Gesù, 19 bambini hanno preso il loro impegno. La comunità di cristiani che ogni domenica viene a pregare vicino alla nostra cappella ha vissuto questa esperienza in un clima di preghiera e di gioia. Con i bambini abbiamo cantato l'inno dell'Infanzia Missionaria: “Battezzato, inviato, tu non sei troppo piccolo per lodare, annunciare Gesù ai tuoi amici”. Era la preghiera e la gioia condivisa non solo dai bambini, ma dai genitori stessi, e da ciascuno di noi della comunità del Teologato. (Teologato Internazionale di Kinshasa, RdCongo)

For the first time, the Xaverian International Theologate of Kinshasa has launched the Missionary Childhood initiative (Œuvre Pontificale de l’Enfance Missionnaire). The goal is to instill in children the missionary spirit, the backbone of the Christian community. At the school of Blessed Pauline JARICOT we introduced them to “prayer”, “sharing” and “proclamation”, the trinomial of the life of Missionary Childhood.

At the end of these formation activities, on Sunday 26 June 2022, the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 19 children made their commitment. The community of Christians who come to pray near our chapel every Sunday lived this experience in an atmosphere of prayer and joy. With the children we sang the hymn of the Missionary Childhood: “Baptized and sent, you are not too young to praise and to announce Jesus to your friends”. A moment of prayer and joy was shared not only by the children, but by the parents themselves, and by each of us in the community of the Theologate. (International Theologate of Kinshasa, RdCongo)
