Il 25 giugno 2022 si è svolto il II Incontro del S.A.V. (Servizio di Animazione Vocazionale), in modalità on-line. Erano presenti diversi rappresentanti laici, principalmente delle parrocchie saveriane. La prima parte dell'incontro è stata dedicata alla formazione, mediante la presentazione della storia della presenza saveriana nel Sud del Brasile in questi 70 anni di lavoro. Il 27 luglio 1953, infatti, arrivarono in Brasile i primi quattro saveriani. Durante questo periodo i saveriani operarono in molte parrocchie del Brasile, formando comunità ecclesiali e collaborando alla crescita del Regno di Dio. Ad essi fu anche affidata la prelatura di Abaeté Tocantins, oggi diocesi di Abaetetuba (PA). Di questa storia fanno parte anche centinaia di Saveriani che si sono dedicati in modo valoroso e generoso all'evangelizzazione.

In seguito, c'è stata la presentazione dei partecipanti e delle attività vocazionali che si svolgono nelle diverse comunità parrocchiali. Quest’anno il tema del mese vocazionale sarà: "Cristo vive! Siamo suoi testimoni”, mentre il motto delle attività di animazione sarà "Ho visto il Signore!" (Gv 20,18).  

On June 25^th, 2022, the Second Meeting of S.A.V. (Servizio di Animazione Vocazionale – Vocation Awareness Ministry) took place on-line. Several representatives of the laity, coming mostly from Xaverian parishes, were in attendance. The first part of the meeting was dedicated to formation: the history of the Xaverian presence in South Brazil over 70 years of work was introduced. The first group of four Xaverians arrived in Brazil on July 27^th, 1953. In this span of history, the Xaverians worked in many Brazilian parishes; they educated and formed Christian communities and cooperated to the growth of God’s Reign. They were also entrusted with the Prelature of Abaeté Tocantins, which today is the Diocese of Abaetetuba (PA). Hundreds of Xaverians, who courageously and generously dedicated their lives to evangelisation, are part of this history as well.

Subsequently, the participants and the activities of vocation ministry carried out in various parish communities were presented. The theme of this year vocation month will be “Christ lives! We are his witnesses”, whereas the motto of mission awareness activities will be “I have seen the Lord!” (John 20: 18).
