Nella celebrazione della Veglia Pasquale presso la Parrocchia di San Francesco Saverio, a Maligaya, Manila, Filippine, lo scorso 30 marzo 2024, tre catecumeni sono stati ufficialmente accolti nella comunità cattolica ricevendo il Sacramento del Battesimo, alla presenza della comunità locale, dei parrocchiani e dei loro cari. I neobattezzati hanno ricevuto anche il Sacramento della Confermazione e la Prima Comunione durante la celebrazione presieduta dal parroco p. Simone Piccolo sx. Dopo un percorso di formazione e discernimento sotto la guida del Laicato Saveriano, la celebrazione è stata una festa di conversione e di amore nell’accogliere nuovi membri della Chiesa cattolica. Una settimana dopo, i Laici Saveriani hanno organizzato una semplice momento di comunione con i neobattezzati. L'incontro è stato caratterizzato dalla condivisione delle loro ricche storie di fede, favorendo in questo modo l’approfondimento di quella fraternità che è frutto del loro battesimo. Verso la fine dell'incontro, è stata fatta una valutazione dei moduli utilizzati nella formazione dei catecumeni, per verificare possibili punti da migliorare in base alle preziose raccomandazioni dei neobattezzati. La serata si è conclusa con un delizioso banchetto con il sorriso sui volti di tutti, con cuori ardenti per vivere il dono della fede e condividere il Vangelo con tutti. (Matteo Rebecchi sx)

In celebration of the Easter Vigil at the St. Francis Xavier Parish, Maligaya-Manila, last March 30, 2024, three Catechumens were officially welcomed to the Catholic Community as they received the Sacrament of Baptism that was witnessed by the local community, parishioners, and their loved ones. The newly baptized have concurrently received the Sacrament of Confirmation, and their First Communion during the celebration as well, which was presided over by the parish priest of SFXP, Fr. Simone Piccolo, s.x. After a journey of formation and discernment under the facilitation of the Lay Xaverian PH, the celebration has been a momentous occasion of conversion and love as we embrace new members of the Catholic Church.

A week later, the Lay Xaverian PH organized a simple fellowship with the newly baptized. The meeting was filled with the sharing of stories of faith that fostered bonds of that brotherhood which is a fruit of their baptism. Toward the end of the gathering, an evaluation of the modules used in the formation took place to analyze areas for improvement based on the newly baptized recommendations. The evening ended with a delightful feast with smiles on everyone’s faces, with hearts burning to live out the gift of faith to share the gospel to all. (Matteo Rebecchi s.x.)
