La comunità Saveriana di Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Messico ha festeggiato San Francesco Saverio celebrando, in primo luogo, l’Eucaristia con il personale docente, amministrativo e gli studenti dell'ICO (Instituto Cultural de Occidente). Durante il pranzo ha ricevuto la visita del vescovo diocesano mons. Mario Espinosa Contreras e di alcuni sacerdoti diocesani. Nel pomeriggio, sotto la direzione del nostro confratello p. Rafael Piras  e con la collaborazione di circa 500 studenti e insegnanti, è stato presentato l'evento “Natale XXI secolo”; una riflessione sul Natale che risponde alla domanda “in questi tempi di guerre, violenza, corruzione... vale la pena festeggiare il Natale?” La rappresentazione di luci e suoni è stata accompagnata da canti, danze, poesie e multimedia. Lo spettacolo, seguendo l'esempio del Patrono dei Saveriani, si è rivelato una bella occasione di annuncio della Buona Novella. (Carlos Abraham Zamora López sx)

The Xaverian community in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico, celebrated St Francis Xavier with, first of all, a Mass with the teachers, administrators and students of ICO (Instituto Cultural de Occidente). The Diocesan Bishop, Msgr. Mario Espinosa Contreras and some diocesan priests paid visit during the lunch. In the afternoon, directed by our confrere Fr. Rafael Piras and with the collaboration of about 500 among students and teachers, the performance of “Christmas 21^st Century” was staged. This performance is a reflection on Christmas which intends to answer the question: “in times such as these of war, violence, corruption, etc., is celebrating Christmas still meaningful?” The show of lights and sounds was accompanied by singing, dancing, poetry, and multimedia. This performance, following the example of the Xaverians’ Patron Saint, turned out to be a beautiful occasion for proclaiming the Good News. (Carlos Abraham Zamora López s.x.)
