Preoccupazione per la diffusione di «un’ingiustizia sociale che sgorga dalla corruzione tracotante» è stata espressa da Leone XIV nel messaggio per la decima Giornata mondiale dei poveri, in programma il prossimo 15 novembre, XXXIII domenica del Tempo ordinario. Diffuso il 14 giugno, il testo porta la data del 13 giugno, memoria liturgica di sant’Antonio di Padova, francescano e dottore della Chiesa, patrono dei poveri.
POPE LEO’S MESSAGE FOR THE TENTH WORLD DAY OF THE POOR: The Lord is the refuge of the poor (cf. Ps 14,6)
In a message for the upcoming 10th World Day of the poor scheduled for November 15th (3rd Sunday of ordinary time), Pope Leo XIV expressed concern for the diffusion of a “social injustice arising from arrogant corruption.” Though released on June 14th, the message was signed on June 13th, liturgical memory of St. Anthony of Padua, a Franciscan and Church Doctor, who is patron of the poor.
