Sabato 04 e domenica 05 marzo il Consiglio del Laicato Saveriano (Fabrizio Boriani e Roberta Brasili da Ancona, Vittorio Sartor da Desio, Serena Rolandi da Parma, Annapaola Turco e Marianna Africola da Salerno) insieme a p. Rosario Giannattasio sx, si è incontrato nella Casa Generalizia a Roma.

Calorosa e fraterna è stata l’accoglienza della comunità intera, con cui abbiamo condiviso, tra un incontro ed un altro, momenti di preghiera e momenti di convivialità ai pasti, occasione per raccontarsi e conoscersi meglio.

Sabato pomeriggio abbiamo incontrato la Direzione Generale, con cui abbiamo condiviso il desiderio di rendere sempre più concreta e reale la Famiglia Carismatica Saveriana; continua ad essere un tema di confronto all’interno delle singole e specifiche esperienze, certi che questo tipo di cammino può aprire strade nuove.

Tra le esperienze che ci impegnano in un percorso di corresponsabilità, di sicuro ritroviamo il lavoro fatto dalla Commissione per il Laicato Internazionale ed il sogno di una missione in Marocco vissuta anche da noi laici. In merito a quest’ultimo punto, proprio in questi giorni c’è stato un incontro online con la comunità saveriana del Marocco, con la quale si sta organizzando una prima presenza di qualche settimana nella loro missione i prossimi mesi. Sapere che i Saveriani ci attendono e che siamo nelle loro preghiere, affinché il Signore accompagni i passi di questo cammino insieme, ci ha colpito positivamente e incoraggia questo nostro desiderio e vocazione. On Saturday, March 4^th, and Sunday, March 5^th, the Xaverian Laity Council (Fabrizio Boriani and Roberta Brasili from Ancona, Vittorio Sartor from Desio, Serena Rolandi from Parma, Annapaola Turco and Marianna Africola from Salerno), together with Fr. Rosario Giannattasio s.x., met in the General House in Rome.

The entire community of the house extended a very warm and fraternal welcome to us. Between the meetings, we shared with the local community moments of prayer and conviviality during the meals – opportunities for telling our stories and getting to know each other better.  

On Saturday afternoon, we met with the General Direction, with whom we shared the desire to make ever more concrete and real the Xaverian Charismatic Family; such desire continues to be a topic of discussion within our local and specific experiences, for we are certain that this journey can open up new paths.

Among the experiences that engage us in a journey of co-responsibility, we surely can mention the work carried out by the Commissione per il Laicato Internazionale (Commission for the International Laity) and the dream of a mission in Morocco also for us lay Xaverians. With regard to this last point, in recent days we held an on-line meeting with the Xaverian community in Morocco; with them, we are organising an initial presence in their mission for some weeks in the next months. Knowing that those Xaverians are waiting for us, that they keep us in their prayers and that they ask the Lord to accompany our steps in this common journey, has positively impressed us and encourages us to pursue this desire and vocation.
