Il 1° dicembre 2023 è stato organizzato un concerto di pianoforte per celebrare il primo anniversario della Cappella dell'Oratorio di San Francesco Saverio a Umphang. Due pianisti professionisti di Bangkok e Chonburi si sono esibiti con pezzi musicali di particolare bellezza. All'evento hanno partecipato alcuni ospiti e pellegrini provenienti da altre province, tra cui mons. Joseph Pibul Visitnondachai, vescovo della diocesi di Nakhonsawan.
Il giorno successivo, 2 dicembre 2023, è stata celebrata una messa di ringraziamento, presieduta dal vescovo. Durante la sua omelia, ha incoraggiato i fedeli a seguire le orme di San Francesco Saverio che ha consacrato tutta la sua vita alla Buona Novella. La Buona Novella non è un'idea ma una verità fattuale che ha cambiato la vita del santo e quindi quella dei Missionari Saveriani che hanno dedicato la loro vita all'opera della missione sul territorio. Ringraziando i Saveriani, ha ricordato che il cambiamento e lo sviluppo reale della società sono possibili solo quando i missionari sono pronti a vivere la loro consacrazione. In virtù di tale consacrazione, tutto ciò che essi ottengono diventa bene comune. Non rimane mai come qualcosa di proprio.
Durante la festa si è tenuta una piccola cerimonia di ricevimento dei doni offerti da un medico tailandese, la signora Suvanee, per la costruzione di un presbiterio e di una sala riunioni. Dopo la messa è stato offerto un pasto con vari cibi, grazie alla generosità di tante persone tra cui anche i nostri amici buddisti. (Reynaldo Fulgentio Tardelly s.x.)

A piano recital has been organized on December 1st to mark the 1st anniversary of Saint Francis Xavier Oratory Chapel in Umphang. Two professional pianists from Bangkok and Chonburi have offered overwhelming performances. Some guests and pilgrims from other provinces attended the event, including Mgr. Joseph Pibul Visitnondachai, bishop of Nakhonsawan diocese.
A thanksgiving Mass was celebrated on the following day, December 2nd, and presided over by the bishop. During his homily, he encouraged the faithful to follow in the footsteps of Saint Francis Xavier who consecrated his entire life for the Good News. The Good News is not an abstract idea but a factual truth that has changed the life of the saint and that of the Xaverian Missionaries who have dedicated their lives to the work of the mission in the area. While thanking the Xaverians, he reminded them that change and real development of society are possible only when the missionaries are ready to live their consecration to the full. By virtue of that consecration, everything they may get becomes common good. It never stays as their own.
During the feast, a small ceremony was held to receive the gifts a Thai doctor, Ms. Suvanee, donated for the construction of a presbytery and a meeting room. After mass, a variety of meals was offered thanks to the generosity of many people including our Buddhist friends. (Reynaldo Fulgentio Tardelly s.x.)
