Il sito della DG ha recentemente pubblicato un testo del confratello p. Armando Coletto. Egli poneva questa domanda: “Dove vanno i Saveriani in Italia?”. Le sue parole hanno spinto alcuni confratelli a reagire. Ringrazio p. Armando Coletto per gli spunti di riflessione che suggerisce. Oserei credere che essi stimoleranno gli altri confratelli a porsi la stessa domanda a partire dai loro luoghi di missione.

Due cambiamenti menzionati nel testo hanno attirato la mia attenzione: la geografia del mondo Saveriano e l’interculturalità. Sembra che si possano cogliere questi cambiamenti come opportunità per la missione solo estendendo la domanda di p. Armando alle altre circoscrizioni Saveriane. The General Directorate’s website recently published an article by our confrere Fr Armando Coletto. He posed this question: “Where are the Xaverians in Italy heading?”. His words prompted a number of confreres to respond. I thank Fr Armando Coletto for the food for thought he offers. I dare to believe that it will encourage other confreres to ask themselves the same question, starting from their own mission fields.

Two changes mentioned in the text caught my attention: the geography of the Xaverian world and interculturality. It seems that these changes can be seen as opportunities for the mission only by extending Fr. Armando’s question to the other Xaverian circumscriptions.
