Nella consueta lettera natalizia rivolta ai “carissimi amici e benefattori”, p. Antonio Germano sx, dopo aver espresso gratitudine al Signore per il tempo trascorso in vacanza, per il senso di appartenenza alla famiglia Saveriana mentre si trovava in Italia, e per la gioia condivisa con i compaesani, conclude: “…sono tornato (15 novembre 2021) fra la mia gente zoppicando, ma con dentro l’entusiasmo per la missione. Dentro di me avevo la consapevolezza che quello sarebbe stato come un saluto di addio, dati i miei 82 anni di età. Ho piena fiducia che il Signore troverà il modo per realizzare il mio sogno (per questa missione)… che spero anche il Suo, prima che io chiuda gli occhi in questa mia terra bengalese…”
In his usual Christmas letter, which is addressed to the “dear friends and benefactors”, Fr. Antonio Germano s.x. expresses gratitude towards the Lord for the time spent on vacation, for the gift of the Xaverian Family he experienced while in Italy and for the joyous moments shared with his fellow townspeople. He then concludes: “… on November 15th 2021, I returned to the mission, among my people. Though hobbling, I am filled with enthusiasm for the mission. Considering that I am 82, I was fully aware that this [time in Italy] would have been like my last greeting. I fully trust the Lord will find a way to realise my dream [for this mission]…, a dream I hope will be also His,before I close my eyes in this land of Bangladesh… ”
