Il giorno di Natale, l’ultimo giorno dell’anno 2025 e il primo giorno del nuovo anno 2026, i Saveriani residenti a Roma hanno celebrato insieme momenti di famiglia e fraternità. Il pranzo del 25 dicembre si è tenuto nella Casa Generalizia, mentre per il 31 dicembre, abbiamo voluto concludere l’anno 2025 insieme nel Collegio Conforti.  Ci siamo ritrovati alle 20.30 per la celebrazione eucaristica presieduta dal padre Generale: “Sia sempre con noi la tua misericordia, Signore, in Te abbiamo sperato”. È seguita la cena, preparata dai confratelli della Comunità del Collegio Conforti: piatti gustosissimi abilmente cucinati con ritocchi etnici da alcuni confratelli cuochi provetti. Dopo la cena, nella sala adiacente, i confratelli proponevano un canto natalizio nella propria lingua per poi cantarlo insieme: spagnolo, portoghese, francese, inglese, cinese, italiano… L’esecuzione non è stata sempre perfetta; tuttavia, l’entusiasmo e la gioia erano grandi. Non sono neppure mancate alcune sorprese al momento della performance (talenti nascosti). Poco prima di mezzanotte, sulla terrazza dell’edificio, insieme per l’ultimo brindisi, per salutare il  nuovo anno e per ammirare i fuochi d’artificio sulla città di Roma. Per il pranzo di Capodanno, invece, ci siamo ritrovati nuovamente  insieme nella Casa Generalizia. 

On Christmas Day,  on the last day of  the year 2025 and on the first day of the new year 2026, the Xaverians residing in Rome celebrated moments of fraternity together. Lunch on 25 December was held at the General House, while on 31 December, we wanted to end the year 2025 together at the Conforti College. We met at 8:30 p.m. for the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father General: “May your mercy always be with us, Lord, in You we have hoped.” This was followed by dinner, prepared by the confreres of the Conforti College community: delicious dishes skilfully cooked with ethnic touches by some of our confreres, expert chefs. After dinner, in the adjacent hall, confreres proposed a Christmas carol in their own language and then we sang it together: Spanish, Portuguese, French, English, Chinese, Italian... The performance was not always perfect; however, the enthusiasm and joy were visible. There were even a few surprises during the performance (hidden talents). Shortly before midnight, we went up to  the terrace of the building for a final toast to welcome the new year and admire the fireworks over the city of Rome. For New Year's lunch, we gathered together at the General House.
