Nei giorni 25-30 aprile 2022, nella casa saveriana di San Pietro in Vincoli, abbiamo vissuto una ricca esperienza di spiritualità e di fraternità con un corso di esercizi condotti dalla sorella Missionaria di Maria – Saveriana Virginia Isingrini. La sorella Virginia ci ha fatto gustare il Vangelo di Luca e gli Atti degli Apostoli, aprendo lo sguardo alla vocazione universale dei cristiani chiamati a testimoniare Cristo Risorto al mondo intero.

Hanno partecipato confratelli dalle case di Udine, Parma, Ancona, Taranto, oltre a noi residenti a San Pietro in Vincoli. Con Virginia abbiamo condiviso l’Eucaristia e quanto lo Spirito ha detto a noi e alla nostra vita missionaria. Lo Spirito è il protagonista principale della missione di Gesù. L’Ascensione segna la scomparsa terrena di Gesù e l’inizio del tempo dei testimoni, del tempo dello Spirito. Nel nome di Gesù saranno predicati a tutte le genti la conversione e il perdono. On April 25^th -30^th, 2022, in the Xaverian house of San Pietro in Vincoli, a spiritual retreat led by Virginia Isingrini, a Xaverian Sister Missionary of Mary, gave us the chance to enjoy a rich experience of spirituality and fraternity. Sister Virginia led us to the appreciation of the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles by opening our eyes on the universal vocation of Christians who are called to bear witness to the Risen Christ all over the world.

Confreres from the houses in Udine, Parma, Ancona, Taranto, and those of us living in San Pietro in Vincoli took part in the retreat. With Virginia, we shared the Eucharist and whatever the Spirit spoke to us and to our missionary life. The Spirit is the protagonist of Jesus’ mission. The Ascension marks the disappearing of Jesus’ earthly presence and the beginning of the time of the witnesses, the time of the Spirit. In the name of Jesus, repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be preached to all nations. (+ Giorgio Biguzzi s.x.)
