Ricordiamo che "camminare insieme" è un bellissimo slogan che dice tutto e non dice niente. "Camminare insieme" dice "tutto" se diventa una mentalità e una pratica. È una mentalità perché ci aiuta a rispettarci invece di calpestarci. È una pratica perché ci aiuta a far funzionare le strutture di comunione che la nostra comunità/Istituto/Chiesa ha a sua disposizione: incontri comunitari, Progetto Comunitario di Vita, consigli, assemblee, visite dei superiori... che ci aiutano a camminare insieme. Per raggiungere questo obiettivo, quindi, dobbiamo far funzionare le strutture di cui disponiamo.
Guardando al rapporto tra il nostro Istituto e la Chiesa locale che ci accoglie, ci stupisce notare la modalità decisionale di alcuni pastori la cui decisione "cade dall'alto" senza previa consultazione.
Da un punto di vista economico, il "camminare insieme" dovrebbe richiedere la preparazione del bilancio preventivo, la sua approvazione, il suo rispetto, il rendere conto, in uno spirito di sincerità e condivisione.
Il “camminare insieme” ci porta a una chiesa meno clericale e che coinvolge di più i laici. In parrocchia dovremmo collaborare meglio con le comunità religiose: a volte hanno i loro problemi di personale, ma forse occorre sostenersi reciprocamente in modo migliore.
La realtà dei laici saveriani è una grande opportunità. Ma sorge il problema economico: cosa potrebbe alimentare il fondo dei laici saveriani?
Infine, per il prossimo Capitolo Regionale suggeriamo che le comunità siano animate almeno un anno prima, per individuare il tema da trattare nell'Assemblea pre-capitolare e nel Capitolo stesso.
We remind that “walking together” is a most beautiful slogan, which says all and nothing. “Walking together” says “everything” if it becomes mentality and praxis. It is a mentality that leads us to mutual respect instead of trampling on each other. It is a praxis because it helps us make the structures of community available to the community/Institute/Church work properly: community meetings, Community Project of Life, councils, assemblies, visits by superiors… that help us walk together. Hence, to reach such objective, me must make the structures at our disposal work.
As for the relation between our Institute and the local Church that welcomes us, we are dumbfound by the modality in which some shepherds make decisions, that is, without previous consultations and from the top down.
From a financial point of view, “walking together” should imply the preparation of budgets, their approval, keeping with them, accountability and a spirit of sincerity and sharing.
“Walking together” leads us to a less clerical Church and a Church that engages the participation of the laity. In parish work we should cooperate better with women religious communities: sometimes they have problems of personnel, but perhaps it is necessary to support each other in a better way.
The Xaverian laity is a great opportunity. However, herein lies the economic problem: what source could finance the fund for the Xaverian laity?
Finally, for the next Regional Chapter we suggest that communities be contacted and informed at least one year before as a way to find out the theme for the discussion in the pre-chapter Assembly and then in the Chapter.
