* In Amare la nostra vocazione saveriana, i giovani confratelli della comunità di Filosofia di Jakarta (ID) ci condividono una delle loro attività missionarie: il dialogo interreligioso. Lo fanno attraverso un video che presenta alcuni degli eventi di dialogo (formali e informali) tenuti dalla loro comunità in questi anni. «Una conoscenza sufficiente della storia e della tradizione spirituale delle altre religioni è una base necessaria per essere in grado di impegnarci in un dialogo costruttivo con i fratelli di altre religioni. Va quindi curata fin dal periodo della formazione iniziale» (RMX 66.1). Ringraziamo i nostri giovani per condividere questa loro attività ed interesse altamente missionario. Guarda qui il video.
* Ricordiamo che la settimana scorsa, è apparso nel sito la quarta e ultima riflessione di P. Fernando García, sx, nostro Padre Generale, in preparazione al prossimo capitolo, sul tema «Amare la nostra vocazione saveriana». In preparazione al XVIII CG- (4). Il titolo di questo scritto è: Ricevete lo Spirito Santo
Con questo, chiudiamo formalmente le rubriche (Caro capitolo e Amare la nostra vocazione saveriana) che, insieme ad altre attività, hanno accompagnato il processo di preparazione della nostra Famiglia al XVIII CG. Sono stati centinaia (non esageriamo) i contributi dei singoli confratelli e/o delle comunità condivisi, in varie modalità, attraverso questo spazio. Un grazie di cuore a tutti e speriamo di poter continuare a condividere l’entusiasmo missionario che ci accompagna. Che tutto aiuti per un fecondo Capitolo generale.
Sabato prossimo, 1° luglio, l’Assemblea dei Delegati, sarà già riunita a Bukavu, cominciando i lavori del XVIII Capitolo Generale dei Missionari Saveriani.
* The last entry in the Dear Chapter column is by Fr Gilbert Mbula, sx, Rector of the Theologate of Yaoundé. It is entitled: Called to LOVE our Xaverian vocation. «... I invite us to consider, some verbs that constitute the realistic space for a holy exercise of love: offer, give, forgive, ask, accept and refuse. * In Loving our Xaverian vocation, the young Xaverians of Jakarta (ID), the Philosophy community, share with us one of their missionary activities: interreligious dialogue. They do this through a video presentation where they show some of the dialogue events (formal and informal) held by their community in recent years. «A sufficient knowledge of the history and spiritual tradition of other religions is a necessary basis for engagement in constructive dialogue with brothers of other religions. Preparation for this dialogue should be initiated in the basic formation period». (RMX 66.1). We thank our young people for sharing this highly missionary activity and interest of theirs. * We recall that last week, was published the fourth and final reflection by Fr Fernando García, sx, our Father General, in preparation for the next GC, on the theme "Loving our Xaverian vocation". In preparation for the XVIII GC- (4). The title of this paper is: Receive the Holy Spirit
With this, we formally close the columns (Dear Chapter and Loving our Xaverian vocation) which, together with other activities, have accompanied the process of preparation of our Family for the XVIII GC. There have been hundreds (we are not exaggerating…) of contributions from individual confreres and/or communities shared, in various ways, through this space. Heartfelt thanks to all, and we hope to be able to continue sharing the missionary enthusiasm that accompanies us. May everything help for a fruitful General Chapter.
Next Saturday, 1st July, the Assembly of Delegates will already be gathered in Bukavu, beginning the work of the 18th General Chapter of the Xaverian Missionaries.
