Mercoledì 20 agosto ricorre il XLV anniversario della nascita al Cielo della Venerabile Madre Celestina Bottego, fondatrice, insieme a p. Giacomo Spagnolo sx, delle Missionarie di Maria-Saveriane.

“…cerco ogni giorno di non perdere tempo, ma vedo tanto da fare. Il Signore mi fa conoscere ogni giorno di più quello che sono e mi sentirei smarrita se non confidassi interamente in Lui. Egli mi può ricreare con tutti i doni necessari per i Suoi fini. Sento però che questa sarà per me una via di umiliazione…

Ho avuto in questo periodo un senso così vivo delle realtà soprannaturali, una familiarità con Gesù dolce e incoraggiante. Da quando mi sono data senza riserva al Suo servizio, Egli si apre senza riserva con me. Domani conto di andare a Gaione per tre giorni: ho un gran bisogno di silenzio e solitudine. Wednesday, August 20^th, marks the 45^th anniversary of the death of Venerable Mother Celestina Bottego, co-founder with Fr. Giacomo Spagnolo s.x. of the Missionaries of Mary – Xaverian Sisters.

“Every day, I try not to waste time, but I see so much to do. The Lord makes me understand more and more each day what I am, and I would feel lost if I did not trust entirely in Him. He can re-create with all the gifts necessary for His purposes. I feel, however, that this is going to be a path of humiliation for me. […]

  During this time, I had a vivid perception of supernatural realities – a sweet and encouraging familiarity with Jesus. Since I have devoted myself unreservedly to His service, He has opened Himself unreservedly to me. Tomorrow I am going to go to Gaione for three days: I greatly need silence and solitude.
