Elezione del Superiore Generale

XVIII Capitolo Generale

I confratelli capitolari hanno la gioia di comunicare a tutta la Famiglia saveriana l’elezione del nuovo Padre generale, confermando Padre Fernando Garcia Rodriguez per il secondo mandato consecutivo.

Accettando questo servizio, padre Fernando ha sottolineato che accoglie nella fede quello che i fratelli gli hanno chiesto attraverso l’elezione. Ha concluso il suo intervento dicendo: “camminiamo insieme”.

I confratelli hanno accolto il suo “sì” con un applauso e un abbraccio fraterno a nome di tutta la Famiglia saveriana.

XVIII General Chapter

The Chapter fathers, with joy, wish to let the Xaverian Family know that our new Father General has been confirmed, for the second consecutive term, as Fr. Fernando García Rodríguez.

Accepting this service, Fr. Fernando has underlined that he accepts “in faith” what the confreres have asked of him in this election. He finished his reflection saying:  “Let us  walk together”.

His “yes” was met by a round of applause and a fraternal hug by the confreres, in the name of the whole Xaverian Family.
