Madrid 27 gennaio 2015:
Abbiamo iniziato la seconda fase, quella del GIUDICARE. Ad ogni Circoscrizione sono stati assegnati dei libri, dei documenti saveriani e non, riguardanti la dimensione vocazionale.
Di seguito alcuni interventi emersi dalla discussione:
- Un primo intervento ha fatto notare che cio’ che noi intendiamo per missione ad gentes, non e’ capito dalle persone con lo stesso significato. Questo vale ancor di piu’ per i giovani. Da qui la necessita’ di adeguare il nostro linguaggio perche’ ci sia sintonia tra noi e i giovani.
- Ci siamo inoltre soffermati tra la differenza generazionale che esiste tra l’animatore e i giovani. Crediamo opportuno che ci siano animatori giovani di eta’, affinche’ sia colmato il divario tra coloro che animano e i possibili destinatari dell’animazione.
- Abbiamo anche accennato alla differenza culturale, dal momento che gli animatori provengono da altri continenti.
- Si e’ parlato anche del limite d’eta’ per accettare i possibili candidati, ribadendo la norma di non superare l’eta’ stabilita dalle Costituzioni.
- La vocazione e’ opera dello Spirito Santo: coscienti che non siamo noi l’agente della missione, ma lo Spirito, ne consegue che dobbiamo dare spazio all’ascolto dello Spirito Santo. Cio’ significa trovare il tempo per una seria e concreta preghiera personale e comunitaria.
- Si e’ nuovamente parlato della necessita’ di preparare gli animatori che si occuperanno dell’ animazione vocazionale e missionaria in senso stretto.
- La DG ci ha presentato brevemente il nuovo Vademecum, strumento utile per l’animatore missionario e vocazionale al momento dell’ingresso del candidato e nelle fasi successive.
- E’ stata riportata la sintesi di un capitolo del libro di Gucci, gesuita interpellato dall’equipe che ha lavorato alla nuova RFX.
- Sono state presentate le parti del documento del XVI Capitolo Generale riguardanti la AmeV.
- Infine e’ stata fatta una sintesi della relazione del P. Claretiano
28 gennaio.
Sono state proposte 6 tematiche, emerse dalla relazione dell’esperto claretiano e dalle relazioni riportate dalle diverse Circoscrizioni.
Le tematiche sono state ragguppate a coppie e consegnate a tre gruppi di lavoro:
GRUPPO 1: L’animatore vocazionale - la Comunità’ sx.
GRUPPO 2: l’AMeV - i Social Network
GRUPPO 3: I giovani oggi - la collaborazione tra le diverse circoscrizioni.
I gruppi hanno sviluppato in maniera appoffondita i temi proposti ed individuato gli obiettivi, gli orientamenti, le attivita’ concrete da intraprendere e le scadenze da rispettare.
Emerge la necessita’ di ritrovarsi piu’ spesso cosi’ da poter verificare le decisioni prese.
Ogni Gruppo ha presentato per iscritto e ha sottoposto all’Assemblea le conclusioni sui rispettivi temi. Dopo uno scambio in sala sono consegnate per la stesura del Documento finale di Orientamenti e Obiettivi dell’AV. in Europa e USA per questi prossimi anni.

We began the second phase of our work, the phase of JUDGING. Each Circumscription was given books, Xaverian and non-Xaverian documents and other material on the vocational dimension. The following points emerged from our discussion:
- What we mean by mission ad gentes is not always understood by people in the same way, especially by young people. We therefore feel the need to adapt our language in order to ensure that we are on the same wavelength as young people.
- There is a generational difference between the animator and young people. We believe we should have young vocation animators in order to narrow the gap between them and the young people they address.
- There is also a cultural difference, given the fact that the animators come from other continents.
- We reasserted the importance of respecting the maximum age limit established by the Constitutions (given the difficulty of adapting to a community life for people who have always lived alone).
- Vocation is the work of the Holy Spirit: mindful that the Holy Spirit is the agent of the mission, it follows that we must make space in order to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. This entails finding time for serious and concrete personal and community prayer.
- We spoke again of the necessity of training the animators who will take charge of direct missionary-vocation animation.
- The General Direction briefly presented the new Vademecum, which is a useful instrument for the missionary-vocation animator when candidates join the institute and in the subsequent stages of their formation.
- We read a summary of one chapter of a book by Fr. Gucci, who was consulted by the team that worked on the new RFX.
- We then examined the sections of the XVI General Chapter Documents that deal with Missionary-Vocation Animation.
- Finally, we prepared a summary of the Claretian expert’s report.
28 January:
Today we began our work by proposing 6 topics which emerged from the report of the Claretian expert (who gave us an idea of the modern youth world in relation to vocation animation) and from the reports of the various Circumscriptions.
These topics were grouped in pairs and given to three working groups:
GROUP 1: The vocation animator - the Xaverian community.
GROUP 2: Missionary-Vocation Animation - Social Networks
GROUP 3: Young people today - collaboration among the various Circumscriptions.
The groups made an in-depth study of the topics to identify goals, guidelines, concrete activities and deadlines for presentation to the Circumscription Councils.
We believe we should meet more often for a verification of the decisions.
Each group presented its written conclusions on the topics to the Assembly. These will be included in a final Document on Guidelines and Goals of Vocation Animation in Europe and the USA in the coming years.
