Dal 29 ottobre al 4 novembre 2023 i Missionari Saveriani della regione del Congo hanno tenuto presso la Domus di Bukavu il loro ritiro annuale sul tema: “ ‘Mi sarete testimoni’ (At 1,8). Essere testimoni in una comunità multiculturale". Il predicatore del ritiro è stato p. Arsène Kapya, superiore provinciale dei Missionari d'Africa nella RDC. Questo ritiro è stato anche un momento di preghiera per le prossime elezioni politiche del paese, nel mese di dicembre, affinché siano condotte nella pace. Questa settimana di meditazione ha voluto anche essere un tempo di ringraziamento al Signore per il XVIII Capitolo Generale svoltosi nella nostra regione e per il futuro della missione saveriana in Africa. From October 29^th to November 4^th, 2023, the Xaverian Missionaries of the Congo Region held their yearly retreat at the Domus in Bukavu on the theme: “«You Will Be My Witnesses» (Acts 1: 8). Being Witnesses in a Multicultural Community.” Fr. Arsène Kapya, Provincial Superior of the Missionaries of Africa in the DRC, was invited to preach the retreat, which has also been an occasion to pray for the upcoming political elections in the country (in December) so that they may take place peacefully. This week of meditation was meant to be a time of thanksgiving to the Lord for the XVIII General Chapter that was held in our region, and for the future of the Xaverian Mission in Africa.
